"Look out, world! There's a new cowboy in town."—CAROLYN BROWN, New York Times Bestselling Author for Tangled in Texas

Rough and tumble, cocky and charming,
Joe's everything a rodeo superstar should be...
And he's way out of Violet's league.

Violet Jacobs is fearless. At least, that's what the cowboys she snatches from under the hooves of bucking horses think. Outside the ring, she's got plenty of worries rattling her bones: her young son, her mess of a love life, and lately, her family's struggling rodeo. When she takes business into her own hands and hires on a hotshot bullfighter, she expects to start a ruckus.

She never expected Joe Cassidy.

Joe came to Texas to escape a life spiraling out of control. He never planned on sticking around, and he certainly never expected to call this dry and dusty backwater home. But Violet is everything he never knew he was missing, and the deeper he's pulled into her beautiful mess of a family, the more he realizes this fierce rodeo girl may be offering him the one thing he never could find on his own.

Texas Rodeo Series:

I received this book for free from Hoopla in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

This book may be unsuitable for people under 17 years of age due to its use of sexual content, drug and alcohol use, and/or violence.

Kari Lynn Dell has a firm grasp and understanding of the Rodeo community, especially in good ole’ Texas. Joe and Violet were reckless and passionate as they exploded off the page. He was a man torn between the love of his home and the desire to do more, be more, and simply belong. She’s a woman who is overwhelmed by life and struggling to find her place in the rodeo world, not only for herself, but also for her company. When their paths cross, it’s electrifying.

Joe manages to make me laugh and swoon at the same time. No wonder Violet fell for him. He’s a good guy, stuck in a bad situation and needs a new perspective on the possibilities in life that are waiting for him to reach out and grab them. I loved getting to know the secondary characters as much as I enjoyed getting to know Violet and Joe. Not only did they pique my curiosity, but I can’t wait to see what happens next in Ms. Dell’s Texas Rodeo series.

Kudos to the cover artist as well, whose fantastic work makes this book jump out at the reader. The setting, dialogue, and events that take place throughout the book is so realistic that I felt as though I were there behind the scenes enjoying the rodeo with Violet and Joe. It’s obvious that Kari Lynn Dell has done her homework and written a story that will draw the reader in until the last page is read.

I’m ecstatic that I found this new author and will definitely be recommending her Texas Rodeo series to my friends.
