It was just a party. A silly little celebration with champagne and my best friends. As I blew out the candles on my divorce cake, I said goodbye to my failed marriage and embraced my future with open arms.

But I didn’t know the future was going to come in the form of a mysterious stranger sitting at the end of the bar stealing glances all night.

And I didn’t know at the time, but my future even had a name . . . Dante Amato.

Over the weeks that followed, he pursued me with reckless abandon. He broke down my walls and ignored all the reasons we were completely wrong for each other. He made me feel something I hadn’t felt in years . . . something so real it terrified me.

But the moment I let him in . . . just when I began to let myself fall for this dashing stranger . . . he dropped a bombshell that changed everything.

This book may be unsuitable for people under 17 years of age due to its use of sexual content, drug and alcohol use, and/or violence.

Dante and Maren have officially become one of my favorite couples of 2017. I loved that Dante fascination and yearning for Maren. I also loved that he appreciated her as a woman, a mother, and a lover. You could easily feel the sexual chemistry that radiated between them.

One of the things I enjoyed the most was when Maren stood up to her ex-husband. I love Karma and how she works. Maren’s sons were amazing and I loved that Dante worked hard to not only become friends with them, but also to show that he genuinely cared about them over time. It wasn’t an instant connection and everyone lived Happily Ever After. The hero and heroine had to work for it. They both had issues and secrets that needed to come to life before they could begin their life together.

The drama was intriguing, but not overdone. The passion was explosive and left me hungry for more. The ending left me with an “awe” moment for Dante and Maren. I loved the secondary characters and it was good to see Ace, Aidy and Mama Amato. I truly can’t wait for the next book in the series.
