Samantha Christy is a new author to me, but her Men of Fire series is sexy, action-packed, and full of heart. The characters were larger than life, but in a good way. They struggled, had flaws, and felt pain and sorrow deeply. In essence, they felt real, which made me want to know more about them. It didn’t take long to immerse myself in Igniting Ivy. The vivid descriptions of Hawaii and the horrific pain the heroine was experiencing immediately drew me into the story.
I loved that the hero was patient and willing to wait for the heroine to come around. Some might describe Bass and Ivy’s relationship as insta-love, but I believe that when it’s right, you know it. I also enjoyed the touch of suspense Ms. Christy added to the beginning of the story. She piqued my curiosity so much that I flew through the pages. The sex was drool worthy and left me panting. Bass may have been sweet outside of the bedroom, but inside it, he was a beast. The man is sex on a stick.
The setting of the series was perfect, as I love New York and Hawaii. I also enjoyed revisiting characters from Ms. Christy’s other series, which I will definitely check out once I’m done with The Men of Fire series. If you like hot firemen, damsels in distress, smoldering bedroom scenes, and a heartfelt story that will leave you begging for more, then grab a copy of Igniting Ivy today.
