Redneck Romeo by Lorelei James
Series: Rough Riders, Book 15
Publisher: Samhain Publishing
Genre: Contemporary, Erotic Romance
Length: 405 pages

Summary:
The last McKay standing is knocked to his knees…
Rough Riders, Book 15
Three years ago, Dalton McKay looked across the altar and saw the woman he knew he’d love for the rest of his life…only it wasn’t his bride. That’s when he took the McKays’ love-’em-and-leave-’em reputation to new heights—fleeing the ceremony and Wyoming.
Now a family issue has brought Dalton back to Sundance, giving him a chance to prove to everyone—especially the woman he thought he lost—that he’s a changed man.
Aurora “Rory” Wetzler has fallen for cowboy hottie Dalton’s smooth-talkin’ ways too many times. So he’s determined to convince her he’s playing for keeps this go around? Fine. She’ll call that bluff—she can’t ignore their intense chemistry or resist smokin’ hot sex, but she’s not willing to gamble her heart again.
Dalton has plenty of fences to mend with the McKays, but his biggest fear is that Rory doesn’t believe they have a future. He’ll have to pull out all the stops to show her they belong together for the long haul.
Product Warnings
Contains a sexy cowboy who tames his sassy lady love with his romantic and his kinky side. In explicit detail.
Blackraven’s Reviews:
FREAKIN-FAN-TASTIC! I couldn’t wait to see what type of man Dalton McKay would grow into and Ms. James did not disappoint. Redneck Rodeo is sexy, raw, sensual, emotional and full of drama and unbridled passion. The connection between Dalton and Aurora, aka Rory, is intense, passionate, and full of unrequited love. Their tumultuous past is what makes their story so endearing and full of life. I couldn’t get enough of this charismatic couple who struggled to overcome so many obstacles in order to find their Happily Ever After.
Dalton may be the last single McKay, but he is definitely one of the best. With a body made for sin and a voice that would make any woman’s body tingle in all the right places, I wanted to switch roles with Rory on many occasions. His unwavering love, as well as his strength to get passed all of the bullsh**t in his life was truly inspiring. He may have left Sundance not knowing who he truly was, but when he returned, it was obvious that the young man had matured and knew exactly who he needed in order to feel complete and that was Rory. Although they have a rough past, when this cowboy decides to seduce a woman in order to profess his love, there is no holding him back. The witty banter and at times sarcasm, as well as the familiar connection that they have with one another is simply mesmerizing. I’m a big fan of the friends to lovers trope, especially childhood friends who were there for one another when they truly needed someone.
Rory is intelligent, sexy, vulnerable, lonely, and a little gun shy, yet head over heels in love with Dalton McKay, even if she won’t admit it to herself in the beginning. I loved Rory’s quick wit, gumption, and drive to find her way in life, especially in the professional world. What she didn’t count on was a gorgeous, scrumptious cowboy returning to Sundance to claim the only woman who has ever owned his heart and soul. As Dalton turns Rory’s world upside down and pleases her in more ways than one with smoking hot sex both in and out of bed, you can’t help but swoon and want a piece of that. I loved how Ms. James provided in depth background information regarding Rory and Dalton’s relationship. Not only did it increase the complexity and development of each character, but the reader will quickly be enthralled with their love affair. Will Rory and Dalton be able to put the past where it belongs…in the past, fight their demons, and admit their unconditional love for one another before it’s too late? Guess you’ll have to read the book to find out.
The secondary characters always rock in a Rough Riders book, but Redneck Romeo will definitely hold a special place in my heart. First, I must get this off my chest. I have never wanted to propel myself into a book and strangle a character the way I wanted to strangle Casper McKay. He is evil incarnate and I can’t wait for him to get some of what he truly deserves. What an asshat! Second, I totally love Charlie, Sierra, Ky, Keely and Gavin who stood up for Dalton when his family had the nerve to go all “McKay” crazy on him. I’ve never wanted to smack a group of bullheaded, know-it-all men upside the head more in my life than during this installment of the Rough Riders series. And just when I think Redneck Romeo couldn’t get any better and the characterization couldn’t get any deeper, Ms. James pulls out all of the stops and shows Tell, Brandt and Dalton with so much raw emotion that my heart simply broke for them on more than one occasion. While I love Cord, Colt, Kane, and yes all of the rest of the McKays, Dalton is definitely at the top of the list. The man is sexy, fierce, and a force to be reckoned with when he’s going after what/who he wants. Woo-hoo!
As with all of Ms. James’ books, the sex is smoking hot, but in Redneck Romeo, it was explosive. Dalton could seduce me anyday, anytime, and anyplace. The man is sex personified and I definitely wouldn’t mind a piece or two of that. LOL! The more I learned about Dalton and Rory, the more it became clear that Rory was his soul mate. Ms. James allows the story to come full circle and play out even with all of it’s rough edges, which is what makes Redneck Romeo so compelling and believable. The dialogue is fresh and on the money throughout the book. The characters are well-developed and three-dimensional. Did I mention that the sex was beyond smoking hot because it was…just saying! While I’m sad to see this series come to a close and secretly hoping that Ms. James takes my advice and starts a spin-off titled Rough Riders Generations that includes Ky, Sierra and several other stories as the children grow up, I’ve definitely enjoyed the ride. Lorelei James is a mastermind at creating characters that readers quickly grow to love and make a part of their family, which is a testament to her writing ability. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us in Book 16 because it’s guaranteed to be a winner hands down. My hat goes off to you Ms. James for creating such a unique and interesting series with characters who are full-of-life and not afraid to draw the reader into their world where they experience all of their raw emotions and sex appeal first hand. Once again, you’ve hit a home run with Redneck Rodeo and not only will Rough Riders be forever one of my favorite series, but I also can’t wait to see what you have up your sleeve next.

I’ve always been a writer. Ever since I could remember my biggest desire was to put words to paper. Finally my dreams of publication came true in 2002 with the release of Chase The Wind, the first book in my historical family saga. But I’ve also looked to the stars since I was a small girl. Which led to my writing of Futuristic Action Romance under the pen name Colby Hodge. And since I’ve got a knack for relating to teens, I also enjoy writing for them under the name Kassy Tayler.
And just so you know a bit about me. I’ve been married for several years to the man of my dreams. We’ve also raised two exceptional sons and enjoy life in the shadow of Pilot Mountain in NC where we share our home with a long haired dauschund and a cat who thinks she’s the queen of the world.

A Taste Of Chocolate by E A Reynolds
Publisher: Siren-Bookstrand Publishing
Genre: GLBT, Interracial, Erotic Romance, M/M
Length: 166 pages

Summary:
Nine years ago, his parents deaths turned Tanner into a single parent bringing his social life to halt and leaving him pining for a man he couldn’t have. During that time, he became a lonely, yet successful man. One look at his sexy new neighbor and Tanner knew he’s ready to live and love again.
Barb Manning’s Review:
A Taste of Chocolate is E. A. Reynolds’ fun, new, romance novel about Tanner Clemens and his new African-American next door neighbor, Sinclair Thomas. This is a book about learning to trust yourself and respecting what you want in a relationship.
The story builds from the opening introduction on Tanner’s front porch to dates in public (Tanner’s not quite out of the closet) to an HEA ending that doesn’t short change. Tanner and Sinclair are both interesting young men with their own successful careers, but they are also lonely. In A Taste of Chocolate, Tanner and Sinclair are immediately attracted to each other. The sexual chemistry between these two virile young men is vibrant to say the least. There are mild elements of BDSM with some very spicy bedroom scenes.
Aside from the sexual encounters, Tanner and Sinclair have some serious work establishing a strong relationship. This is not a tale of insta-love; both men are cautious with each other. Tanner comes to the relationship with, perhaps, more baggage than Sinclair, but Sinclair’s history is not so apparent. Their interactions with secondary characters are interesting and on occasion entertaining.
Tanner invested much of the last nine years in taking care of his younger siblings, twin sisters and a brother, Nelson. He doesn’t have a personal life, but he’s looking to change that. Sinclair, on the other hand, has had a string of lovers, some good, others not so good, now he’s looking for something long-term.
I liked E. A. Reynolds writing style. All of the primary characters are well-drawn with distinct personalities. I felt like I got to know most of the characters with the exception of Tanner’s sisters. They seemed to disappear from the story altogether. Other than that one shortcoming, A Taste of Chocolate is a great read; it’s easily worth 4 Ravens.

Beauty Bites (Biting Love Book 6)
Beauty is skin deep…but the beast goes all the way.
When top Minneapolis ad man Ric Holiday is asked to design a campaign for a quaint little town, his first reaction is absolutely not. Meiers Corners is too near Chicago, home of the vampire who turned him as an orphaned boy.
Then the city sends an angel-faced med student with a body made for sin to plead their case. Synnove Byornsson is the ray of sunshine Ric hasn’t felt since he was human.
Armed with determination and a micro miniskirt, Synnove is prepared to crash Holiday’s penthouse cocktail party—and to dislike him on sight. But Mr. All-Style-No-Substance turns out to have a deadly smile, a barely restrained, feral strength, and piercing blue eyes that look at her—not at her cleavage.
Unfortunately Synnove has competition in the form of a sly temptress with a counterproposal. For the first time in her life, Synnove must cash in her genetic lottery ticket and fire back with some sizzle of her own—or her beloved Meiers Corners could become the new Sin City.
Warning: Contains a doctor with a bod for sin, an ad exec with a chip on his shoulder, sarcasm, sex, and a cabin full of annoying friends. Secrets are revealed. One heart-stopping, horrific moment leads to the ultimate of happily-ever-afters.

It was all fun and games until the gun hit my skull.
Thud. A bright pain cracked in my brain, telling me the mountainous hostage-taker had brought his own weapon to bear.
Almost immediately something heavy plowed into us, spinning me away from the gun. I staggered to a stop.
My sight cleared to Ric, wrestling the mountain.
The big goon seized Ric with one arm, hugging him close like he was going to give him noogies. But the gun in his noogie hand made reality more chilling.
Ric shimmered, and suddenly the mountain was holding a cloud of mist.
Vampire fighting technique? I cheered before it occurred to me to wonder why Ric hadn’t used it before and why the shadowman helping us hadn’t used it at all.
The edge of Ric’s mist caught a stray beam of sunlight. It instantly combusted—poof. My elation turned to horror.
Ric snapped back into being like a rubber band. His cheek was seared open, exposing red muscle surrounded by blackened, bubbling skin. But he lost no time raising his bound hands, swinging, and whacked the bad guy’s head with fists like a mallet.
The mountain swayed but didn’t go down. Ric spun, once, twice, winding up his whole body behind it, and whacked him again.
Still the guy didn’t go down. My heart tripped double time. The mountain swept his gun toward Ric.
I leaped at them. Went oof when I hit the shadow’s arm, stuck out like a bar. I folded over it like a cheap towel and staggered back.
Ric slid into the rifle.
The mountainous goon opened fire as Ric knocked the gun to the side—the side where the ogre-like head hostage-taker stood.
Ogre Face ducked and covered. A spray of bullets rat-a-tat-tatted a line where his head had been.
Ric chopped his forearms across the mountain’s right wrist. The mountain howled, both arms flying up in defense, right hand dangling with a protruding lump at the wrist presenting as broken. The gun fell to hang from its clip. The mountain groped for it with his left hand.
Ric grabbed the big man’s balls.
The guy shrieked. Ric wrenched. The mountain dropped, curling on the floor like a shrimp. Apparently Ric also had a grip like a nut crusher.
“Stop!”
I whipped around. Ogre Face pointed his gun at my head. He rasped, “You’re dead.”
Terror burned that instant into my head like a snapshot. I stood facing the ogre. About ten feet separated us. Behind me was the hostage-lined bank of windows, the shadowman already running toward them. A few feet to my right, the mountain goon curled on the floor, Ric breathing deeply over him.
Both Ric and I were too far away to stop the ogre from shooting.
“Down!” The shadowman pushed hostages to the floor, starting with the ones in Ogre Face’s direct line of fire. Well, if you didn’t count me.
Ric leaped.
My knees started to bend.
Ogre Face pulled the trigger.
Ric wouldn’t hit him in time, even though he’d leaped before the ogre pulled the trigger.
The gun went off.
* * * * *
I turned.
Ric Holiday in his full sizzling glory was right on top of me.
I stepped back, spine hitting the edge of the elevator shaft. My nipples reached out as if trying to stay in touch. *The erection of the mammary papilla is due to muscle contraction, like the pilomotor reflex which causes goose bumps*—Stupid nipples. “What do you want?” I spoke a bit sharply, but his heat and heady scent had goosed my frustration into borderline rudeness. I flushed but held my place. Well, fused against the corner of the shaft, I had to.
He stared down into my eyes, his own frustrated too. “I want to explain.”
“You made it clear enough. Me and Camille at the O.K. Corral, one week from today.” I looked away. The elevator was leaving.
“Synnove.” He slid two strong fingers under my chin and urged my face back to him. The blue had softened. “I’m sorry.”
“Why? There’s worse?” I scowled, but I had to work at it. Why did he have to be so gorgeous? Why did his fingers have to be so gentle, so warm? “You’re going to make us bikini mud wrestle?”
“Ouch.” He smiled slightly. “I deserve that.”
“No,” I grumped. “You don’t. But you’re getting it anyway.”
The grin slowly widened, making his whole face edible. “The vaunted Byornsson honesty. I’m beginning to see the advantages.”
And I was beginning to see the advantages of hot sexy sizzle. But no way I was admitting that to him. Not lying, just omission, which is not a lie. Mostly.
When my lips parted to say something that was not a lie and definitely wasn’t about how sexy he was, his eyes darkened. “Shh.”
He replaced the two fingers on my chin with two cupping hands, holding my face gently, like it was something precious. Like I was precious.
My lips stayed parted but no words came out.
In that moment of silence, he lowered his head. Slowly, so I could have stopped him.
Should have stopped him.
Did not want to.
He’s nothing but image.
Image and intense pleasure.
The lips have one of the highest density of nerve endings in the body…
Argh. Shut up and kiss him.
While I was arguing with myself his warm mouth settled on mine, tongue sliding deftly between my lips. It rasped my sensitive skin, rubbing my lips awake like a thorough toweling. A steamed towel, hot and wet.
Confused feelings fled. I gave a little moan and opened wider.
He swept inside, all spice and heat. He groaned, a sound of masculine hunger. His questing mouth, his hot kiss, said lust plain and clear. Yet his hands were tender on my face, his sweet caress speaking of something beyond sex, a closeness that transcended the physical.
Happiness blossomed in my heart. Our groans were intertwined, mutual. For this one moment, the battle was suspended and we were on the same side.
His fingers tunneled into my hair, holding me firmly while his tongue drove deeper. He pressed closer yet, pinning me to the edge of the elevator shaft with his body, imprinting me with every muscle, every bulge, every place he was hard and primitive under his worsted.
I rippled against him and moaned softly in response. If he could generate this kind of pressure standing, how would the weight of his body feel, pressing me into a mattress?
At the thought I nearly exploded.
He shifted me, his powerful hands urging me away from where the corner of the elevator was digging into my spine and guiding me onto the wall. There he pressed me into vinyl wallpaper and kissed me like he was starving for me. The honest hunger in his kiss undid me. I grabbed his head and kissed him back with everything I had.
A big hand slid up my ribs, sparking a trail of heat, stopping under my breast. The mound throbbed, waiting, wanting, yearning for that hot hand to slide up the curve, to touch my delicate and private flesh. To brand it as his own. My soft moans shortened to whimpers, and I arched to thrust my breast more fully into his hand.
A deep rumbling started, a lion’s purr. His hand moved, fingers barely brushing the bottom curve. I stopped breathing. His fingers skimmed higher, circling nearer, nearer to the hardening tip. I twitched in anticipation, greedy for his touch on sensitive flesh barely covered by a thin blouse and the wispiest scallop of lace. Bless Twyla’s endless supply of sexy bras.
Finally, finally his thumb scraped my nipple. I shrieked into his mouth, jerking against him. My nipple furled instantly, wordlessly urging him again, more, now.
He opened his hand and covered my breast, his heat searing. Slotting the nipple between two fingers, he began to pump and tug gently, rhythmically squeezing, pulling. I thought I’d go insane from the sweet soft tugging.
Until he replaced the hand with his mouth.
His lips closed on my erect nipple through thin blouse and bra, breath wetting the material until he could have been sucking directly on flesh. It was the dream become real; it was better. More aroused than I’d been in my life, I grabbed his ears and beat my hips into him, not thinking at all, just moving. A pressure built between my legs, a hot, heavy throbbing that made me want him on his back and me naked and clamping him between my thighs.
A ding startled me; my eyes flew open. The elevator, which had gone and come back again, disgorged half a dozen professional-looking people.

Beautiful Stranger by Christina Lauren
Series: Sequel to Beautiful Bastard
Imprint: Gallery Books
Publisher: Simon and Schuster Publishing
Genre: Contemporary, Erotic Romance
Length: 356 pages

Summary:
A charming British Playboy. A girl determined to finally live. And a secret liaison revealed in all too vivid color. Book two in the NYT Bestselling series.
Escaping a cheating ex, finance whiz Sara Dillon’s moved to New York City and is looking for excitement without a lot of strings attached. So meeting the irresistible, sexy Brit at a dance club should have meant nothing more than a night’s fun. But the manner–and speed–with which he melts her inhibitions turns him from a one-time hookup and into her Beautiful Stranger.
The whole city knows Max Stella loves women, not that he’s ever found one he particularly wants to keep around. Despite pulling in plenty with his Wall Street bad boy charm, it’s not until Sara–and the wild photos she lets him take of her–that he starts wondering if there’s someone for him outside of the bedroom.
Hooking up in places where anybody could catch them, the only thing scarier for Sara than getting caught in public is having Max get too close in private.
AJ’s Review:
Samantha from Sex and the City has nothing on Sara from Beautiful Stranger once she embraces her sexuality, throws caution to the wind, and lets her inner wild cat roar. Add to that a gorgeous, bad boy Brit with a sexy accent and a body made for sin and licking; and you have one deliciously wicked, sensual story that will take your breath away. I couldn’t get enough of this charismatic couple and their sexcapades.
Sara is sexy, intelligent, and more adventurous than she gives herself credit for after being in a six year relationship with a lying, cheating scoundrel. I wanted to pummel Andy for her. But as they say, as one door closes, another opens and that’s exactly what happens in Sara’s case when she meets a gorgeous, sexy, beautiful stranger at a night club who unlocks the door to all of her pent up passion. The sexual tension flowing between these two is off the charts.
Max is sex and sin personified. If his British accent doesn’t get your motor running, then his body and sexacapades will. Adventurous is an understatement when it comes to this domineering man who knows how to please a woman at a night club, in a restaurant, at a benefit galla, and eventually in the bedroom. You name and it’s possible because there are no limits to where Max is willing to pleasure Sara. What a lucky woman!!!
The secondary characters help the story progress, but don’t overshadow our hero and heroine. I enjoyed catching up with Chloe and Bennett who rocked my world in Beautiful Bastard. The easy camaraderie between Sara, Chloe and Julia is a testament to their friendship and sentiment that when the chips are down, these women have each others’ backs. I loved George, Sara’s assistant, and hope that he gets a story of his own. He fits in well with this group of dynamic characters who are well-developed and three dimensional. I also can’t wait to see what Ms. Lauren has in store for Will, who I know will be as hot as Max because he’s definitely a bad boy. The dialogue is fresh and hot as Max’s sexy voice draws the reader deeper into the story with his sinful, decadent, sexual exploits. If you’re not all hot and bothered by the time you finish this story and ready to jump your significant other then something is definitely wrong.
Christina Lauren has hit another home run with her latest releases Beautiful Stranger. The plot is well-thought out and complex, the characters are genuine, the dialogue is crisp and believable, and the sex is hot enough to singe your e-reader and eyebrows. The more I read, the more I wanted to switch places with Sara because Max is all that and a bag of chips. With that said…pick up a copy of Beautiful Stranger by Christina Lauren and embrace your inner exhibitionist in the Big Apple with Sara and Max.

Now they’re risking their hearts…and their lives…in a race to catch a killer. Little do they know, the greatest danger lies closer to home.
Warning: The book contains explicit sex, light bondage, violence, murder, steamy shenanigans in the courtroom, naughty sexytimes in the boardroom, and an exceptionally hot hero with a versatile tie. Any objections will be overruled.

“What about you?” He folded his arms and cocked an eyebrow. “Did you come here with a secret agenda?”
“No secret agenda. When Valerie told me she worked at the club, I was curious so I agreed to meet her here instead of at my office.”
“Brave girl,” he murmured.
Katy cocked an eyebrow and put her hands on her hips. She hadn’t been called a girl since she turned eighteen. “That was slightly condescending.”
His eyes crinkled and a smile played at the corners of his broad, sensuous mouth. “The correct response to a compliment is thank you.”
She walked over to another part of the collection and pulled out a dusty bottle. “I hardly think that was—”
“I’m waiting.”
Surprised by his warning tone, she turned to face him.
He sat back in his chair, long, muscular legs spread, corded forearms crossed, dark eyes calm and focused. But despite his casual manner, she sensed power and tension coiled in his lean body, like a cobra ready to spring.
A thrill of fear raced through her, followed by a sharp spike of arousal. She tempered it quickly. No way would she be pushed around even if secretly his commanding tone turned her on. She replaced the bottle in the rack. “I think we’d better get back upstairs.”
His voice softened. “Why are you running away?”
She spun around to face him. “I’m not running away. I…I’ve seen the wine cellar so I thought—”
“You’re afraid.”
Katy folded her arms. “Not at all.”
“Your body says otherwise.”
She froze and then sucked in a breath. “What do you mean by that?”
“Body language. You’re flushed, trembling. Your breathing rate has increased. Your eyes are wide. Your hands are clenched into fists. Your tongue…” He paused and his voice lowered to a husky growl. “Your tongue keeps darting out to lick your lips. If that isn’t fear, sugar, what could it be?”
Arousal, fierce and unfamiliar, shot through her like an electric current, flaming her body, burning a path to her core. Sweat broke out on her heated skin. Her mouth opened and closed but no sound came out.
Mark’s lips curled into a slow, sensual smile. “Come here, Katy-who-isn’t-afraid.” The sound of his voice, hard and low, sent a chill down her spine.
No, not a chill. A heat wave. A fever. Maybe she was ill. Maybe that’s why her cheeks burned and sweat trickled between her breasts.
But that didn’t explain the deep yearning that had risen up within her. Oh, she wanted to go to him, tear his clothes off, climb onto his lap, run her hands over his broad chest and then lower. It was as if she had been starving for years and he was a banquet waiting to be tasted.
Maybe that was the truth of it.
Giving herself a mental shake, she willed the sensation to go away. What the hell was going on? Was she seriously contemplating having sex with a stranger in the basement of a fetish club?
She swallowed past the lump in her throat. “Why?”
“Didn’t you want the Meursault?”
Katy nodded and her pulse kicked up a notch.
“Third row down, second bottle from the left.” He pointed above his head.
Katy raised an eyebrow. “A gentleman would get it for me.”
“I’m not feeling like a gentleman right now. Especially after your stirring performance upstairs and the way you’re looking at me now—like you want to devour me.” The heat in his eyes matched his voice, dark and sinful, like a rich Amarone. How long had it been since a man had gazed at her with such desire? After Justin’s birth, Steven had never once looked at her with anything more than mild interest.
Katy lowered her eyes. “I wasn’t… I didn’t mean…”
He cut her off. “Katy.”She looked up into amused brown eyes and then drank in the sight of his hard, muscular body sprawled across the chair; his long legs open and inviting.
Craving, deep and delicious, flooded her veins.
“Come here, sugar. I won’t bite.”
“It’s not the biting I’m worried about.” Nor was it him. Her gut told her he wouldn’t hurt her. If he had wanted to try anything, he wouldn’t have waited this long. No, it was her. She had lost control of herself and she had no idea what this new, lust-driven Katy Sinclair was about to do.
Still, his soft, cajoling voice drew her forward. Although she wanted the wine, she wanted him more. But after ten years on the bench, she didn’t remember how to play the game.
Her heels clicked on the flagstone floor as she closed the distance between them, stopping only a foot away. Even seated, he intimidated her. But God was he sexy. Her pulse raced and her throat turned dry.
He studied her for a long moment, his gaze intense and unwavering. “I’m beginning to wonder if we haven’t met before.”
Katy shook her head. “We haven’t. I’m sure of it. You’re not someone I would ever forget.” Or ever will. She stepped closer, her body now only inches from his. She caught the scent of his spicy aftershave and something raw and purely masculine. A quiver of fear ran through her followed again by the fierce rush of arousal.
“Good girl.”
“I’m hardly a girl.”
He reached out and put his hands on her hips, drawing her close, until she could feel the heat of his breath on her breasts through the thin cotton of her shirt. She bit her lip to stifle a moan.
“Most definitely not,” he murmured.
Inexplicable desires wracked Katy’s body. She wanted to thread her fingers through his hair, straddle his body and press her breasts against his full, sensuous lips.
Her briefcase dropped, unbidden, to the floor. She ran a tentative finger along the square line of his jaw, rough with stubble, but pulled away at his sharp intake of breath.
“Put it back.” He lifted her hand and pressed it against his cheek, trapping it with his own. His skin was warm, firm. So sexy. She felt the slip of arousal between her thighs and drew in a ragged breath.
Get a grip, Katy. This isn’t you.
She eased herself out of his grasp. “You’re going to have to move. I’m not reaching over you.”
“Shame.” He stood with the grace of a man half his size and pulled the chair out of her way.
Katy reached for the bottle. Too high. She looked over her shoulder. Mark’s gaze was fixed firmly on her…ass. She snorted a laugh. “When you’re done, maybe you could give me a hand.”
Mark grinned and walked toward her, stopping so close she could feel the heat radiating from his body across every inch of her back. He put one arm around her waist and pulled her into his broad chest.
“Where do you want it, sugar?” he whispered, his breath warm and moist in her ear.
Red, hot flames of need licked through her body. “Want what?”
“My hand.”
She could think of several places she wanted his hand. Places Steven had rarely touched. Emboldened by his obvious interest, and her own simmering arousal, she let her head fall back on his shoulder and looked up at him. “I’m not that kind of girl.”
His body shook with laughter. “What kind of girl?”
“The kind of girl who tells a man where she wants his hand.”
He stroked the curve of her waist and brushed his lips over her ear. “You don’t have to tell me, sugar. I know.”

Misplaced Princess by Mari Carr and Lexxie Couper
Series: Foreign Affairs, Book One
Publisher: Ellora’s Cave Publishing
Genre: Contemporary, Erotic Romance
Length: 123 pages

Summary:
Foreign Affairs, Book One
Annie Prince has impetuously flown halfway ’round the world to visit a sexy cowboy she met online–only to find herself stranded in Sydney. Seems she and Dylan crossed wires, and he’s on his way to New York. His twin, Hunter, saves the day and whisks her back to the family cattle station. Hunter’s as easy on the eyes as Dylan, and even easier to talk to. Annie might have flown to Oz to meet one brother, but soon sparks are flying with the other.
Hunter considered Dylan a dumb arse for jetting off to America for some stranger–until he met Annie. Turns out the New Yorker is a smart, funny, hard-working jillaroo…and hotter than the Aussie desert. Hunter’s not normally one to poach his brother’s women, but he can’t keep his hands, lips, tongue and other body parts off this sexy city girl.
When raging lust leads to emotional attachment, where does that leave Annie and Hunter when her vacation comes to an end–or when Dylan finds out?
AJ’s Review:
Misplaced Princess by Mari Carr and Lexxie Couper is an intense, sexy, entertaining read that will keep the reader engrossed with it’s compelling, well-written plot, deliciously sinful characters, believable dialogue, and explosive unbridled passion. One of the things that I enjoyed the most about reading Misplaced Princess is the seamless transition from one author to the other in regards to each character’s dialogue and cultural background, which is a testament to these two magnificent authors’ writing skills.
Annie is absolutely adorable and I love her spunk and sauciness. She’s desperate for a change in her world and has no problem seizing the opportunity to add a little adventure to her life by traveling halfway around the world to meet a stranger that she’s met online. While this city girl is smart and normally prepared for anything given her very public life, she finds herself in an interesting predicament when she arrives in Australia. But never fear, Annie takes the bull by the horns and goes with the flow as she quickly discovers an intense, sexual attraction to an unexpected savior and her online mate’s brother, Hunter. When Hunter and Annie share a smoldering kiss that would make any woman’s toes curl, sparks begin to fly as the two struggle to keep their hands, mouths, and other interesting body parts off one another. Will Annie and Hunter be able to fight their attraction to one another until Dylan returns to claim his woman? Or will Hunter unleash the animal inside craving Annie and let the chips fall where they may?
Hunter is sexy, intelligent, and loves women. Moreover, he thought his brother was crazy for traveling halfway around the world to meet a woman he doesn’t know. That is, until the woman in question ends up in the Outback after crossing her wires with his brother, Dylan. If Annie’s sexy body and personality didn’t rev up Hunter’s engine, the smoking hot kiss they shared in the airport sure did. Waves of unbridled lust emanates off this dynamic couple and the reader can’t help but be swept into their world-wind romance. I instantly feel in love with Hunter’s practical side and his ability to make Annie feel safe and welcomed in his home. It was obvious that he was intersted in Annie on a deeper level than a one-night stand, so I enjoyed watching the two get to know one another as their romance blossomed and quickly spun out of control.
In regards to the secondary characters, I loved Hunter and Dylan’s mum. She was an absolute hoot and knew exactly what her son needed. Her quick wit, caring heart, and grasp of the situation will make you laugh until you cry as she watches Annie and Hunter circling one another like two animals in heat. In addition, I enjoyed the easy camaradiere between Hunter and his brother. It was obvious the two deeply cared for one another and had a bond that only twins could have. Ms. Carr and Ms. Couper does an excellent job of not only providing in depth background information on each of the characters, but also sets up the stage perfectly for the next couple of books in the series by quickly yet effectively introducing the reader to several of the upcoming characters.
Misplaced Princess is a compelling story written by two amazing authors who work well together and have the ability to write as one. Their characters are vibrant and full of life, the dialogue is realistic, the emotions are genuine and at times raw, and the sex is uninhibited. I loved that Hunter was willing to allow Annie to embrace her sexuality, as he confessed some of his own secret desires. This is a couple who was truly meant to be together and are in a word or two…soul mates. So, if you want a quick read that will warm your heart, put a smile on your face, and heat your body to the core from all of the sexual tension emanating off of Annie and Hunter, then Misplaced Princess by Mari Carr and Lexxie Couper is definitely the book to read. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series to see how Dylan fairs with the woman who has quickly stolen his heart and soul. I’d definitely recommend Misplaced Princess to my friends, so be sure to check it out. You won’t be sorry.

Sinful Southern Ink by S.J. Drum
Publisher: Ellora’s Cave Publishing
Genre: Contemporary, Erotic Romance, Western Cowboys
Length: 80 pages

Summary:
Jed Weston is a tall, hard country boy with dangerous cowboy charm and piercings in all the right places. As Abigail’s employee in her tattoo and piercing shop, he’s kept things between them on a strictly professional level. Until Abigail’s violent past catches up with her and she seeks his comfort—comfort that leads to an intense emotional and sexual connection neither can ignore.
Jed’s jealous ex-girlfriend, a nosy reporter, and a potential father-in-law in prison won’t keep him from the woman who makes him hard at the very sight of her. Nothing will keep Jed Weston from catching—and keeping—the woman he loves.
AJ’s Review:
S.J. Drum is a new author to me, but she piqued my curiosity with her novella Sinful Southern Ink. Ms. Drum has penned a quick read that packs a punch with it’s genuine, heartfelt characters, intense sexual chemistry, explosive sex, and small town gossip.
My heart went out to Abigail who had suffered a lot at the hands of her parents, if you want to call them that. No one should ever have to endure what she did. Yet, I’m also proud of the strong, caring woman that she turned out to be despite her parents. You can’t help but like her character who not only has gumption, but also a vulnerable side, especially when her past is brought to the forefront.
Jed is one sexy, smoking hot cowboy who’s body is build like a Greek God, especially when you take into consideration the ink and piercings. He’s lusted after Abigail for sometime, so when the opportunity presents itself, this cowboy goes after the woman who has stolen his heart and soul. Unfortunately, Jed has a crazy ex-girlfriend who doesn’t know when to let go. Will Abigail and Jed be able to survive the past and a crazy ex to find their Happily Ever After?
While the townspeople act as secondary characters, the only true secondary character that kept our hero and heroine in a state of flux was Jed’s crazy ex-girlfriend who is as shallow as a dried up creek. She’s a superficial, big boobed blond who doesn’t know how to take no for an answer even when Jed becomes less of a gentleman when telling her to back the fu** off. I mean really, get a clue. Ms. Drum does an excellent job of crafting a well-developed plot that provides in depth background information about Abigail and her parents, which gives the reader a true picture of the trials and tribulations she went through as a child. It’s obvious that S.J. Drum has either lived in a small town, or knows someone who does because she hit the nail on the head when it came to the gossip tree and everyone knowing everyone else’s business. The sexual chemistry between Jed and Abigail is hot enough to scorch your e-reader when they finally give in to their lustful desires.
Sinful Southern Ink is the perfect title for this captivating story of second chances, unconditional love, and letting go of the past in order to forge a future with the one person who truly gets you. I loved the characters who were well-developed and three dimensional. Moreover, if the drama doesn’t keep you enthralled until the very end, then the smoking hot sex will. So, if you haven’t picked up a copy of Sinful Southern Ink, but you love a cowboy who has the body of a Greek God and several tats and piercings to enhance the view, then do so today. You won’t be sorry.

The Devil Duke Takes a Bride by Rachel Van Dyken
Series: The House of Renwick, book #4
Publisher: Astraea Press
Genre: Historical Romance
Length: 183 pages

Summary:
Who said being bad wasn’t oh so good?
Benedict Devlyn, Duke of Banbury, has one thing on his mind and it isn’t marriage. But things take a turn for the worse when his menacing and aunt throws a hitch in his plans to remain the most sinful and talked about man in the ton. After all, a man cannot keep the reputation of being The Devil Duke when he is leg-shackled to some simpering spinster.
But his aunt, bless her heart, thinks she’s dying, and believes her nephew’s behavior is the only thing standing in the way between her entrance to heaven or hell. So she very lovingly and selflessly sets him up. With his childhood nemesis.
A young woman who, though she claims it was an accident, has nearly killed him thrice through her lack of grace and manners. It matters not that the minute he sets eyes on her at the Christmas ball, his blood boils with lust. He refuses to allow himself to fall prey to his aunt’s ministrations.
That is, until he is compromised and stuck in an engagement to a girl who claims she’d rather jump from a moving carriage than marry him. Funny thing that, for the very minute she says no, he finds his heart very much wants to say yes. When she doesn’t leap at the chance to marry him, he sets about to not only prove that he’s worthy of her favor, but also worthy of her heart.
Lace’s Review:
Sweet heaven, it broke my heart knowing this would be the last book in The House of Renwick Series. Rachel Van Dyken writes Historical Regency at its best!
Now we get Benedict Devlyn’s story, so hold onto your skirts ladies because the devil is in town…
Benedict is deliriously fun and heart stopping handsome, but he needs to be knocked down a peg or two and Katherine is just the one to handle the job. If could, I would have taken great pride in doing the honor myself. LOL! I adored Benedict more than any of the Rakes in this series and that is saying a lot. His character charges on like a powerhouse, capturing your attention and holding it until the last page is turned.
Katherine is a strong willed, no push over heroine that was wonderful to get to know and an absolute treasure. Her true grit came to the forefront when Benedict was being an ass and she held it all together. When she is thrown into ruin, what is any good debutante to do but to draw out the devil and make him suffer alongside her.
A spark ignites when Benedict and Katherine meet again years later. Now all they need to do is not kill one another and lord knows it will be a task. In fact, I laughed so much at this dynamic couple’s antics, not only was I shedding tear, but also delightfully hypnotized by this enchanting book.
As for the secondary characters, they add such drama and fun to both the main characters and plot. Benedict’s brother needs a HEA because I believe his nemeses is the key to his happiness. The plot was marvelously written and Ms. Van Dyken created such descriptive scenes you cannot help being transported back in time where a woman’s virtue meant everything unless she encountered a rake who was better known for being a devil.
Rachel Van Dyken characters are as tantalizing and decadent as the stories she creates for them. If you are curious, give “The House of Renwick series” at try. I know you will be hooked from the first page just as I was.

The Redemption of Lord Rawlings by Rachel Van Dyken
Series: The House of Renwick, Book #3
Publisher: Astraea Press
Genre: Historical Romance
Length: 223 pages

Summary:
Phillip Crawford, the eighth Earl of Rawlings and notorious rake of the ton, has come to the end of his rope. Out of money, out of favor, and out of luck, he wanders the streets of London in the rain, hoping to be hit by inspiration…or a runaway carriage. Something has to give. It is his father’s final cruel trick to hold his inheritance just out of reach, requiring him to marry by his next birthday in order to claim his full rights as earl. His step-mother refuses to offer him any more support. With no money, no prospects and no other place to turn, he has only two options:
Marriage or debtor’s prison.
The better choice seems clear enough, but with his name and reputation being attacked daily in the society papers, there’s not a proper lady in all of London desperate enough to accept him. It isn’t going to be easy, even if the reports of his exploits and rakish lifestyle are greatly exaggerated.
On the other hand, debtor’s prison does start to look much more appealing when the only friends he has left decide to help him in his search for the perfect bride. Matters become much more complicated when the only woman who shows an interest in him just happens to be the young sister-in-law of the Duke of Tempest; the same man who, just months ago, had been tempted to kill him.
One thing is for certain, as the Season draws to an end, Lord Rawlings will have to decide once and for all, if his wicked ways are enough to bring him contentment in life, or if a leopard really can change his spots. Or in Phillip’s case—can a devil truly be redeemed?
Lace’s Review:
Rachel Van Dyken sure knows how to throw a party. The Redemption of Lord Rawlings was never lacking in the entertainment department. I had so much fun reading this book that I’m positively glowing with laughter.
Rawlings, a reputed rake, has fallen from grace only to find him fighting amongst himself for what he should not take. I adore Phillip, and he and Sebastian’s banter is priceless. As sadistic as it sounds, I think Ms. Dyken did a marvelous job of making Rawlings’ character seem true in nature, especially regarding his regrets and matters of the heart. Phillip’s true test will be to see if he can withstand the chase, or will he give in?
Abigail is a spitfire like no other. Goodness, she even tired me out half way through the book. *grins* Her character was lively, fun and quite honestly a shock. Ms. Dyken showed how a bratty heroine could grow into a mature, serious character, who would be respected without losing herself. Can she win the attention of the only man that she has ever loved? Will she truly let him ruin her?
Rawlings and Abigail’s journey takes them through the past, into the now, and hopefully the future, unless they kill each other first. Their antics are so fun to watch.
The secondary characters add such life to this brilliantly written story. I was drawn to them as much as I was drawn to the hero and heroine. Ms. Van Dyken left no one in the shadows.
I did not think it was possible to enjoy Rachel Van Dyken’s books any more than I already have, but boy was I wrong. she just keeps getting better and better. The plot was full of richness that the era demanded. In addition, the apparel was breathtaking and descriptive.
I for one cannot wait to try something else by Rachel Van Dyken because her stories are as captivating as her characters.

An Unlikely Alliance by Rachel Van Dyken
Series: The House of Renwick, Book 2.5
Publisher: Astraea Press
Genre: Historical Romance
Length: 125 pages

Summary:
Spoiled New York rogue Royce Mc Arthur lives a charmed life. He sees no reason to settle down, until his mother issues her decree that he must grow up, find a wife and produce some grandchildren?preferably before she dies of old age. But his choices are quite limited considering the only women of his acquaintance are ones of ill repute.
Meeting the beautiful Evelyn DeJarlias at a ball gives him hope he may have found the one. Her southern blue collar outspokenness and lack of refinement draws him like a moth to a flame. Unfortunately, she does not find him nearly as endearing — consistently refusing his lavish gifts and his attentions, she poses a challenge he simply cannot ignore.
When his mother and her widowed father begin to keep company together secretly, it provides theperfect excuse for him to spend time with Miss DeJarlias. But figures from Royces past threaten to destroy the blossoming love between the couple. Evelyn must decide if she is willing to trust the man or hold his past indiscretions against him.
Lace’s Review:
An Unlikely Alliance has a touch of the old historical romance genre that I couldn’t get enough of. Rachel Van Dyken definitely has star power!
Evelyn is a farm girl who has no idea what’s in store for her when she’s thrust upon the Ton. Evelyn is a true delight, and I enjoye d how Ms. Dyken let her blossom into an unforgettable heroine. She is passionate and holds her own until she meets up with Royce. From there on out, her brain and heart are in the clouds.
Royce, who is the cousin of Sebastian, the Duke of Tempst, is truly dashing and debonair. A playboy of sorts, he is sequestered by his mother to find a bride in 4 months’ time. I so enjoyed Royce’s playfulness, as well as his unrelenting focus when he has Evelyn in his sights.
Evelyn and Royce on their own are magic, but put these two together and you can feel the energy they create. I just relish how the heroine always sees past the devilishness these rakes can do. Although there are a only few steamy moments throughout the book, the lust that emanates from Royce and Evelyn is enough to singe my e-reader.
The secondary characters add heart, as well as a true family feel to the plot, the hero and the heroine. The story was tastefully written and Ms. Van Dyken keeps the reader well entertained from cover to cover.
I have to admit that while reading An Unlikely Alliance by Rachel Van Dyken, I was trying to figure out where it fits into the The House of Renwick series. I am happy to say after finishing the book, it pleased me to see it was referenced in the series as a 2.5 story. With that said, it can be read as a standalone.

The Seduction of Sebastian St. James by Rachel Van Dyken
Series: The House of Renwick, Book #2
Publisher: Astraea Press
Genre: Historical Romance
Length: 213 pages

Summary:
When the angelic Duke of Tempest, Sebastian St. James, appeared unexpectedly at his boyhood friend’s home, he had but one goal: Find a suitable wife as soon as possible. However, his impeccable reputation made him a prime target for ambitious mothers of debutante daughters. He needed a plan.
Help came in the form of an unlikely alliance with Lady Emma Gates, the beautiful daughter of a wealthy viscount, who has deemed herself on the shelf, and only wants to marry in order to appease her parents. Together they could sort through the mire of would-be mates to find their perfect matches. That is, if they could keep their hands off each other long enough to pursue likely candidates.
When a man from Emma’s past makes a play for her hand, the truth about her life threatens to destroy Sebastian’s reputation, a reputation he has carefully guarded since his youth. In the end, the Angel Duke has to make a choice that will end up changing his reputation forever.
Lace’s Review:
Oh My! Ms. Van Dyken has my heart all a flutter. I thought book one was a delight, but Sebastian and Emma give a great chase as well.
Sebastian has his own troubles and when his involvement with Emma is added to the mix, things become complicated fast. Ms. Van Dyken has out done herself with Sebastian’s character. He’s charming, stunning, and it’s quite fun watching him chase Emma around. *grins* I felt his inner turmoil with his past, but I truly missed out on him telling Emma about his past secrets. Will we get to know what they are?
Emma is a heroine who despite her troubled past still knows how to have fun. Her laugh for me was so infectious that I swear I could feel it. Emma’s past was a bad one that she’s trying to run from, which is the reason she needs to marry right away. Unfortunately, this solution has its own problems in the form of one man, Sebastian St. James, the very man of her distress.
Emma and Sebastian sure know how to liven up the plot line, but the secondary characters add such a delight that I found myself enthralled with all of them. It was nice to see Nicholas, Sara and the rest of the family. Rawlings has me in a love/hate mode. I think he needs the love of a good woman.
Ms. Dyken has done it again with The Seduction of Sebastian St. James. The plot was engaging and had enough twists to keep things interesting to the point that I found I couldn’t put the book down.

The Ugly Duckling Debutante by Rachel Van Dyken
Series: The House of Renwick, Book #1
Publisher: Astraea Press
Genre: Historical Romance
Length: 201 pages

Summary:
Since childhood Sara has lived with the reality of being ugly. Something her awful family never ceased to remind her. After her sisters run off to Gretna Green, she’s left with one choice—go to London and take their place for a Season. It’s up to her to marry well and save her family from financial ruin.
A distant aunt decides it’s in her best interest to sponsor Sara for the season and help her snag a husband by any means possible.
Nicholas Devons, Earl of Renwick, is a retired rake and consequently bored with life. He’s given up beautiful women and carnal pleasures. Desperation makes him decide to give his massive fortune away and marry the first country girl he sees.
Lucky for Sara she’s that girl. Unlucky for Nicholas, he’s to be her new tutor in the ways of the ton. Two waltzes, one masquerade, a violent carriage ride, and two duckless ponds later…. and all that’s left is a fun twist on one of the oldest stories ever told.
Lace’s Review:
The Ugly Duckling Debutante by Rachel Van Dyken is a wonderfully written historical romance that has everything: innocence, passion and secrets. What more can you ask for?
Nicholas is a dashing rake that has truly met his match. He is so sinfully appealing that it was hard for me not be drawn to him. Ms. Dyken created this hero to have heart and a consonance. Can Nicholas change from his rakish ways and transform himself into an honest man? Can he teach his student the way of the Ton without being snared himself?
Sara, aka Sai, was and is a truly delightful heroine. Feisty but yet caring, it was hard to imagine her past that entailed such cruelty. I was drawn to Sara if by nothing else, her easy joy of being free in that field of flowers. Sara was sent to attend the Ton for her first Season, but truly who would want an Ugly Duckling? Can her Aunt and Nicholas help her meet the Tons’ requirements? Can she safeguard her heart against the one who says he wants nothing from her?
The way Ms. Dyken wrote Nicholas and Sara’s stories will have you on pins and needles as their secrets unfold. I found myself whispering, “Oh Wow!” After seeing Sara and Nicholas come alive in their roles, it was interesting to see that in the end we were left with a “cliffhanger” of sorts and a smooth segway into the next book. Well played Ms. Dyken.
As for the secondary characters, they aided brilliantly to the plot, as well as adding some fun during their kinship with Nicholas and Sara. I enjoyed this wonderfully written, well plotted historical romance that gave nothing away. The characters are remarkable and will have you cheering them until the end.
Rachel Van Dyken is a delightful storyteller who knows exactly how to touch her readers’ hearts and souls. I for one am a willing follower.

Summary:
She’s 33, unmarried, and stuffed into a Bubble Yum pink bridesmaid dress. And the whole town wants to fix her up with anyone with a dental plan . . .
Who’s going to rescue Sadie Hollowell now?
Everyone in Lovett, Texas, knows Sadie has always been a “notional” kind of gal. She got a notion to leave town ASAP and never visit her daddy (bless his heart) again. Now she’s back and got the notion to invite a good-looking, hard-muscled, total stranger to her cousin’s wedding. Better a stranger than some of the losers she’s dated.
Vince Haven got his muscles the hard way—as a Navy SEAL in Afghanistan. He’s staying in Lovett to visit his crazy aunt—the proprietor of the local Gas and Go. Before he can get the heck back out of the small town, his aunt makes him an offer he can’t refuse. Maybe he’ll stick around Lovett for a while. Maybe he’ll make a “go” of the Gas and Go. Maybe he’ll rescue Sadie out of that pink dress!
AJ’s Review:
Hilarious. Sexy. Country. Those are the immediate words that come to mind after reading Rescue Me by Rachel Gibson. Ms. Gibson has penned a riveting story about life, love, fear of commitment, dysfunction in the family, and good ole’ country gossip that at times will have you laughing until you cry. What I loved most about Rescue Me is that Rachel Gibson addressed real life situations that the reader could easily identify with, such as being over 30 and still unmarried, the inability to communicate between father and daughter, the fear of commitment and settling down, the fear of going after your dreams, PTSD, the loss of a loved one, but most importantly, the knowledge that you can always come home.
Sadie Jo is returning to Lovett, Texas after her escape to attend her cousin’s wedding. Although it’s been five years since she’s been back to Lovett, Sadie knows the score and how gossip spreads like wildfire. Dreading the weekend, especially given that she and her father struggle to communicate at every level, Sadie’s life becomes more interesting when she helps the handsome, sexy Vince who’s stranded on the road and needs a ride into Lovett. Little did they know that day would irrevocably change both of their lives forever.
Vince is sexy, all alpha and a former Navy Seal. While he had no problem committing to the military, he struggles when it comes to committing to a woman. That is until he meets Sadie Jo who invokes strong, intense feelings in Vince that he’s never experienced regarding a woman. Struggling with the death of his friend and feeling at a loss in regards to what to do with the rest of his life, Vince finds himself in Lovett, Texas at the request of his aunt. While their relationship is a bit odd, it’s obvious that they both care for one another.
The secondary are a hoot in this small town where everyone knows everyone’s business. It’s obvious that Ms. Gibson has either lived in a small town or she’s visited one for an extended period of time because she has the dynamics and gossip down to a “T”. I must admit that there were times I wanted to pummel Sadie’s father, yet at the same time, I understood him and quickly realized that they were more alike than different. A man of few words, he’s lived a hard life, became a hard man, and did what people expected him to do even if it meant squashing his own dreams. Yet there is no doubt in my mind that he loved his daughter with all of his heart. Unfortunately, he just didn’t know how to show it physically and emotionally. The characters were well-developed and genuine, the banter was hilarious, the dialogue was believable, the plot was well-developed, and the Texas euphemisms were hilarious, such as “Bless her heart.”
Rescue Me is one fantastic story that is guaranteed to make you laugh until you cry. The characters are flawed, yet lovable, the language is fluid with a Texas twang, the humor is non-stop, and the unbridled passion between Sadie Jo and Vince are enough to make your toes curl. I sure hope Ms. Gibson has more in store for the people in Lovett, Texas because I feel as though they have more to tell.
