A Siren Erotic Romance

I love sports and thought this would be a perfect combination… erotica and athletic heroes. While One for the Team, had the makings of a great story, it fell short in a couple of areas. The book is an enjoyable read, but didn’t leave a lasting impression for a couple of reasons. When introduced to the characters, I really thought I would enjoy Kevin. He is the sexy leader of his team, but unfortunately his character wasn’t developed deep enough for me to feel for him or hate him. His menage partner Darren felt more like an add on to make this story into a menage because there was no story lead up for him at all. The heroine, Lauren, had the most depth but didn’t make me feel for her except to roll my eyes.
Ms. Acres is one of my regular reads but One for the Team was truly not her best work. One for the Team has great potential with an intriguing storyline and a great spin off to tell the story of the team’s Coach. Unbelievable story action along with even far-fetched characters makes this truly a let down. I know that this author is really talented and I won’t let this one story prevent me from continuing to read her usually amazing erotic tales.
