Misplaced Princess by Mari Carr and Lexxie Couper
Series: Foreign Affairs, Book One
Publisher: Ellora’s Cave Publishing
Genre: Contemporary, Erotic Romance
Length: 123 pages

Summary:
Foreign Affairs, Book One
Annie Prince has impetuously flown halfway ’round the world to visit a sexy cowboy she met online–only to find herself stranded in Sydney. Seems she and Dylan crossed wires, and he’s on his way to New York. His twin, Hunter, saves the day and whisks her back to the family cattle station. Hunter’s as easy on the eyes as Dylan, and even easier to talk to. Annie might have flown to Oz to meet one brother, but soon sparks are flying with the other.
Hunter considered Dylan a dumb arse for jetting off to America for some stranger–until he met Annie. Turns out the New Yorker is a smart, funny, hard-working jillaroo…and hotter than the Aussie desert. Hunter’s not normally one to poach his brother’s women, but he can’t keep his hands, lips, tongue and other body parts off this sexy city girl.
When raging lust leads to emotional attachment, where does that leave Annie and Hunter when her vacation comes to an end–or when Dylan finds out?
AJ’s Review:
Misplaced Princess by Mari Carr and Lexxie Couper is an intense, sexy, entertaining read that will keep the reader engrossed with it’s compelling, well-written plot, deliciously sinful characters, believable dialogue, and explosive unbridled passion. One of the things that I enjoyed the most about reading Misplaced Princess is the seamless transition from one author to the other in regards to each character’s dialogue and cultural background, which is a testament to these two magnificent authors’ writing skills.
Annie is absolutely adorable and I love her spunk and sauciness. She’s desperate for a change in her world and has no problem seizing the opportunity to add a little adventure to her life by traveling halfway around the world to meet a stranger that she’s met online. While this city girl is smart and normally prepared for anything given her very public life, she finds herself in an interesting predicament when she arrives in Australia. But never fear, Annie takes the bull by the horns and goes with the flow as she quickly discovers an intense, sexual attraction to an unexpected savior and her online mate’s brother, Hunter. When Hunter and Annie share a smoldering kiss that would make any woman’s toes curl, sparks begin to fly as the two struggle to keep their hands, mouths, and other interesting body parts off one another. Will Annie and Hunter be able to fight their attraction to one another until Dylan returns to claim his woman? Or will Hunter unleash the animal inside craving Annie and let the chips fall where they may?
Hunter is sexy, intelligent, and loves women. Moreover, he thought his brother was crazy for traveling halfway around the world to meet a woman he doesn’t know. That is, until the woman in question ends up in the Outback after crossing her wires with his brother, Dylan. If Annie’s sexy body and personality didn’t rev up Hunter’s engine, the smoking hot kiss they shared in the airport sure did. Waves of unbridled lust emanates off this dynamic couple and the reader can’t help but be swept into their world-wind romance. I instantly feel in love with Hunter’s practical side and his ability to make Annie feel safe and welcomed in his home. It was obvious that he was intersted in Annie on a deeper level than a one-night stand, so I enjoyed watching the two get to know one another as their romance blossomed and quickly spun out of control.
In regards to the secondary characters, I loved Hunter and Dylan’s mum. She was an absolute hoot and knew exactly what her son needed. Her quick wit, caring heart, and grasp of the situation will make you laugh until you cry as she watches Annie and Hunter circling one another like two animals in heat. In addition, I enjoyed the easy camaradiere between Hunter and his brother. It was obvious the two deeply cared for one another and had a bond that only twins could have. Ms. Carr and Ms. Couper does an excellent job of not only providing in depth background information on each of the characters, but also sets up the stage perfectly for the next couple of books in the series by quickly yet effectively introducing the reader to several of the upcoming characters.
Misplaced Princess is a compelling story written by two amazing authors who work well together and have the ability to write as one. Their characters are vibrant and full of life, the dialogue is realistic, the emotions are genuine and at times raw, and the sex is uninhibited. I loved that Hunter was willing to allow Annie to embrace her sexuality, as he confessed some of his own secret desires. This is a couple who was truly meant to be together and are in a word or two…soul mates. So, if you want a quick read that will warm your heart, put a smile on your face, and heat your body to the core from all of the sexual tension emanating off of Annie and Hunter, then Misplaced Princess by Mari Carr and Lexxie Couper is definitely the book to read. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series to see how Dylan fairs with the woman who has quickly stolen his heart and soul. I’d definitely recommend Misplaced Princess to my friends, so be sure to check it out. You won’t be sorry.

Sinful Southern Ink by S.J. Drum
Publisher: Ellora’s Cave Publishing
Genre: Contemporary, Erotic Romance, Western Cowboys
Length: 80 pages

Summary:
Jed Weston is a tall, hard country boy with dangerous cowboy charm and piercings in all the right places. As Abigail’s employee in her tattoo and piercing shop, he’s kept things between them on a strictly professional level. Until Abigail’s violent past catches up with her and she seeks his comfort—comfort that leads to an intense emotional and sexual connection neither can ignore.
Jed’s jealous ex-girlfriend, a nosy reporter, and a potential father-in-law in prison won’t keep him from the woman who makes him hard at the very sight of her. Nothing will keep Jed Weston from catching—and keeping—the woman he loves.
AJ’s Review:
S.J. Drum is a new author to me, but she piqued my curiosity with her novella Sinful Southern Ink. Ms. Drum has penned a quick read that packs a punch with it’s genuine, heartfelt characters, intense sexual chemistry, explosive sex, and small town gossip.
My heart went out to Abigail who had suffered a lot at the hands of her parents, if you want to call them that. No one should ever have to endure what she did. Yet, I’m also proud of the strong, caring woman that she turned out to be despite her parents. You can’t help but like her character who not only has gumption, but also a vulnerable side, especially when her past is brought to the forefront.
Jed is one sexy, smoking hot cowboy who’s body is build like a Greek God, especially when you take into consideration the ink and piercings. He’s lusted after Abigail for sometime, so when the opportunity presents itself, this cowboy goes after the woman who has stolen his heart and soul. Unfortunately, Jed has a crazy ex-girlfriend who doesn’t know when to let go. Will Abigail and Jed be able to survive the past and a crazy ex to find their Happily Ever After?
While the townspeople act as secondary characters, the only true secondary character that kept our hero and heroine in a state of flux was Jed’s crazy ex-girlfriend who is as shallow as a dried up creek. She’s a superficial, big boobed blond who doesn’t know how to take no for an answer even when Jed becomes less of a gentleman when telling her to back the fu** off. I mean really, get a clue. Ms. Drum does an excellent job of crafting a well-developed plot that provides in depth background information about Abigail and her parents, which gives the reader a true picture of the trials and tribulations she went through as a child. It’s obvious that S.J. Drum has either lived in a small town, or knows someone who does because she hit the nail on the head when it came to the gossip tree and everyone knowing everyone else’s business. The sexual chemistry between Jed and Abigail is hot enough to scorch your e-reader when they finally give in to their lustful desires.
Sinful Southern Ink is the perfect title for this captivating story of second chances, unconditional love, and letting go of the past in order to forge a future with the one person who truly gets you. I loved the characters who were well-developed and three dimensional. Moreover, if the drama doesn’t keep you enthralled until the very end, then the smoking hot sex will. So, if you haven’t picked up a copy of Sinful Southern Ink, but you love a cowboy who has the body of a Greek God and several tats and piercings to enhance the view, then do so today. You won’t be sorry.

Reader Advisory: This book contains brief scenes of gang-related violence.
A Romantica® erotic romance from Ellora’s Cave
AJ’s Review:
Love the Sinner, Avril Ashton’s first book in the Brooklyn Sinners series, is fast-paced, action packed, sexy, emotional, and full of raw, uninhibited sex. If the bullets don’t get you, then the smoking hot love scenes will.
Detective Gabriel Ashby is in a rut, especially in his personal life. However, when he meets Angelo Pagan, the leader of Los Pescadores, sparks fly as the two men go head to head to solve Angelo’s sister’s murder. While the witty, sensual banter that’s volleyed back and forth between Gabriel and Angelo is intriguing, it’s the undying need, professional suicide, and denial that makes this couples’ love for one another so explosive.
Angelo Pagan is highly intelligent, ruthless, dangerous, and deadly when it comes to protecting the people that he loves. Not only is he seeking revenge for his sister and father’s murder, but also for the attempted murder of Gabe, the man his heart and body desires. I always enjoy the forbidden love/bad boy trope and Ms. Ashton takes it to a whole new level with her riveting characters that make you want to root for the bad guy. But in spite of their undying love for one another, it’s forbidden and risky. Will Gabe and Angelo find a way to destroy their enemy in order to pursue their Happily Ever After?
The secondary characters in Love the Sinner are well-developed and give this story a full-bodied feeling similar to the finest of wines. The suspense and mind games that occur throughout the book are realistic and play out like an SVU episode. It’s obvious that Ms. Ashton did her homework in regards to the culture of gangs, as the dialogue was rich, buoyant, and believable. The characters are three-dimensional and flawed, yet lovable. You can’t help but instantly like Angelo who is supposedly the bad guy. As the story unfolds and the reader learns more about out two heroes, it’s obvious that they are desperately in love. I immediately fell in love with Angelo’s mother who not only understood and loved her son unconditionally, but was someone with whom he could confide in. They had a special relationship that made my heart swell with joy. In addition, the push and pull play between Gabe and his brother gave me a few “aw” moments as these two gruff men bared their feelings and showed how much they cared for one another. However, I must admit that Ms. Ashton has left me with more questions than answers in regards to the series. For example, what’s going to happen with Pablo? Moreover, how will Mr. S’s endgame play out in the grand scheme of things and when will his story be ready?
Avril Ashton has penned a compelling story with heart and soul that will keep you on the edge of your seat, biting your nails until the very end. The plot is well-crafted and immediately draws the reader into the crux of the story. The love between Gabe and Angelo is intense, emotional, raw, genuine, and at times, simply beautiful. The danger is palpable as our heroes try to determine who is friend and who is foe. And last, but not by any means least, the sex is explosive and will melt your e-reader to smitherines. I couldn’t get enough of this tantlizing story and ended up reading it in one sitting. Therefore, if you haven’t checked out Love the Sinner by Avril Ashton, then you are definitely missing out because this fantastic writer will take you on the emotional roller coaster ride of a life time and then some with her magnificient characters, riveting plot, and no-holds barred love scenes.

Redeemed by Ciana Stone
Publisher: Ellora’s Cave Publishing
Genre: Erotic, Contemporary Romance, Suspense
Length: 114 pages

Summary:
When Cia Whitehorse walks into Kade Lawson’s office and announces she’s been assigned to help with a serial killer investigation, he’s damn sure he’s never met a federal agent as sexy.
Cia takes one look at Kade and makes up her mind that she’s going to have him in her bed. She might not be interested in love, but sex is definitely right up her alley and Kade looks like the kind of man who can give her just what she wants.
Kade is more than willing to deliver what Cia needs. She gets to him. Tough and sexy, with an unspoken promise in her look that says she’ll rock his world. But that look is covering something. And Kade’s a sucker for a mystery.
The problem is, solving the mystery of Cia Whitehorse comes with a price.
Trixie’s Review :
I think I was hooked at first by the heroine’s awesome ethnic name, but the storyline really dug into my flesh with its fresh plot and characters.
Ciana Stone’s Redeemed is a must read for anyone who is remotely interested in the supernatural “powers” people have, or who simply are looking for a book that will knock their socks off. A serial killer is nothing new, granted, but a serial killer with a female investigator that works with a team who all hold special skills to deal with the dead, is rare and fun. Redeemed has an engaging storyline that moves at the perfect pace, while keeping you on your toes begging for more.
Cia and Kade develop into characters that grab you by the hand and force you to walk the chapters with them. They are magnaminous, believable, far from ordinary, and I am not even mentioning their sexual combustion! Strong Cia finds an equal match in State Ranger Kade who doesn’t miss a detail. Their coming together takes the story further with passion that pops off the page.

Jessica Talbot is new to the BDSM scene and the bull riding tour, but after seeing Conner come to the aid of a submissive being mistreated in a club, she sets out to have him for her own. After their first night together she asks him to train her to submit and he refuses, afraid to mix business with pleasure. But Jessica isn’t deterred. She’ll do whatever it takes to make him realize he can have it all—a career, true love, and the BDSM lifestyle he craves.
Lace’s Review:
Impact by Cassandra Carr was one sizzling hot encounter I would enjoy visiting again. Holy smokes, it was that good!
Conner’s character was quite likeable. He came out of the shoot full force and taking charge. I could easily see why Jessie was drawn to him. Ms. Carr was it hard to create Conner, or did he come naturally to you?
Jessica had me wanting to scream. “What are you waiting for?” *grins* This heroine even though she is a sub has moxie, something I truly enjoy in a female lead. I have to say though, she dominates the story for me.
Conner and Jessica start out almost by accident, but it was fun to watch them stumble through the first stages of attraction. I think Ms. Carr did brilliantly in describing his turmoil and issues regarding the life style,.
The second level characters added to this already amazing plot. I adored Jessica’s family. Oh! and sweet Brady, I am hoping we get his story soon. Please! I am going to pout a bit though Ms. Carr because I wanted to see how Brady dealt with Conner’s lifestyle up close in the club. LOL!
Can you get any Hotter than Cassandra Carr Heck No! Ms. Carr knows how to pen stories that make you melt. Pick-up Impact today because the title fits.

One Hit Wonderful by Hannah Murray
Publisher: Ellora’s Cave
Genre: Contemporary, Erotic Romance, Suspense
Length: 215 pages

Summary:
Being a bridesmaid is a dull job. But when the groom gets caught with his cummerbund around his ankles, dull isn’t in the cards.
Lily Michaels is happy to help her best friend cancel her wedding. But since the groom with the broken nose is also her landlord, it means she’s looking for a new apartment. Enter Nate MacIntyre-former boy-band member and current composer-his mostly St. Bernard dog Beau and the apartment over their garage. Nate is sexy, Beau is adorably charming and the apartment is gorgeous. Things are looking up!
But things get complicated when Max, the former groom, starts hassling Lily for the location of his jilted bride. Nate thinks Max is dangerous, Lily thinks Nate is silly, and while she’s enjoying where her attraction to him is going, her independent streak simply won’t let her lean on him too much. What do you get when you mix an overprotective man, an independent woman and the confusion that comes with falling in love? Whatever it is, it’s not dull.
Blackraven’s Review:
One Hit Wonderful is a scintillating story with engaging, charming characters, witty banter, smoking hot sex, and a bit of mystery guaranteed to increase the readers angst level. Ms. Murray is a new author to me, but I’ll definitely be checking out the rest of books. Her writing style is inviting to the point that the reader is easily drawn into the plot of the story, as well as her characters’ lives as they leap off the pages.
Lily is a strong, sexy, and at times shy woman who is capable of taking care of herself. She loves her friends and will do anything to help them. Between impulsive Bridget who has no problem giving her cheating, lying, ex-fiance a black eye, who totally deserved it; to the drama queen Charlies, these three musketeers will have you laughing until you cry with their antics. The scene with Lily, Charles, Beau and Nate in the moving van will keep me laughing for days. I loved Lily’s feistiness and down to earth attitude. My only niggle with her character is that I would have liked to known more about why it was so difficult for her to open up to the people that she obviously cared about, especially when it came to Nate.
I absolutely adored Nate. He’s kind, sexy, practical, protective, and down to earth. He wasn’t afraid to show his feelings for Lily and once they gave into their desires, it was combustible. The sexual tension is swoon-worthy and hot enough to make your panties melt. The chemistry between this dynamic duo out of the bedroom is just as inviting. They love hard, laugh hard and fight hard when necessary, but it’s obvious that these two are head-over-heels in love with one another. Now if they can just work on their communication skills.
The secondary characters increased the dynamics of the story, especially the mystery part. Although you know Max is the one who’s harassing Lily and Bridget, you never know what his character is going to do next based on Lily and Bridget’s perception of him. But like all good mysteries, things are never what they seem. Max is definitely the slimy, car salesman that makes a girl want to go home and take a shower immediately after having any contact with him. While his good looks helps him conceal that sliminess initially, when push comes to shove, the snake definitely showed his true colors. I loved Jonah, the private detective in the book, and would love to know more about him. Maybe he and Bridget could hook up. Hint! Hint! Charles is a diva who made me laugh until I cried. But he’s also a good friend to Bridget and Lily, especially when they need a reality check. I love his take no prisoners attitude as he speaks his mind and makes no apologies for it. But I must admit that of all of the secondary characters, Beau was my favorite. I loved that dog and his energetic spirit. He added an entire new dimension to the story that had me smiling until the very end. I have two cocker spaniels, so Beau totally won my heart. There were a few minor editing errors, but nothing that would deter the reader from the crux of the story.
Ms. Murray has penned a compelling, yet entertaining story where the setting is descriptive, the dialogue is believable, the banter is witty and the characters are genuine and well-developed. The ending of One Hit Wonderful left me with a warm feeling in my heart and smile on my face. I’ll definitely be recommending this little gem to my friends. It’s a great afternoon read on a sunny day. Or, if you’re in a colder climate, it’ll definitely warm you up, if you know what I mean.

Summary
My name is Liz, and I’ve always had a thing for dominant men. But I’ve never met anyone I felt comfortable enough with to explore that side of myself, so I’m not even sure if it’s a real need or if it’s just the idea of being dominated that gets me hot.
Then I laid eyes on Master Gareth, and I knew he’d be the one to show me. Not only is this my chance to see if I really am a submissive, but there’s something more in the way he looks at me. Something dangerous, forbidden. For one glorious night, I’ll be his to control completely. At his mercy, bowing to his every desire-and I can only hope he’ll make all my fantasies come true.
My only fear? That I won’t want to return to reality when the night’s done . . . even though I know I can’t stay.

Chapter One
I’m still not entirely sure what possessed me to say yes when Connie asked me to attend in the charity auction at her BDSM club. I mean, this was all so new to me still and I really didn’t have a fucking clue about the lifestyle or if I actually wanted what I thought I wanted. But all of the proceeds were going to support suicide hotline, which she damn well knew I would say yes to. And really, it was the best chance I had to give this a go, yank my fantasies into the daylight. Or spotlight, in this particular instance.
Buy a Dom for a night.
Rent a man and get him to take control in the bedroom, all in the safe confines of a club with people who knew what they were doing.
A hard chance to pass up.
And yet, I had to question myself about what the hell was I thinking? It’s not like I knew who any of these people were, or what was truly expected of me. How could I honestly walk in there and offer myself up like the proverbial lamb to a man who I didn’t know the first thing about? The plan in my head was to go and watch. What harm was there in watching.
But in typical Connie fashion, she wasn’t about to let me sit on the sidelines. I should have anticipated my best friend’s need to meddle.
Connie had told me there wasn’t a dress code. No, you don’t have to get all fancy. Not really. Go as you are and you’ll be fine. Just shave and pluck, put on some of that nice jasmine vanilla cream of yours and the men will eat you up. Maybe wear the new Diesel jeans, they show off your ass. I have no doubt she thought she was being comforting, supportive even. What she did was make me even more nervous about going than I was in the first place.
I did put on the Diesels and a midnight-blue corset I’d picked up a few months ago. The coloring went well with my blonde hair and pulled in my slightly thick waist. I hoped the outfit would be enough for me to blend into the crowd. I didn’t want to stick out like the obvious newbie I was. Connie had emerged from her room wearing PVC and stilettos high enough to have my calves screaming for relief. She looked like a Dom’s wet dream. I’m surprised Stephen let her out in public without him, looking like that. It also served to remind me how completely out of my element I was about to be.
Before I’d been able to turn tail and hide in a corner of our apartment, she grabbed my arm and hauled me to the club.
Arriving at the Tail Whip was a bit of a shock to the system. There were lines and lists and bouncers to get through first. The club was closed to only members and guests, which I found reassuring. Even with our names on the list and our invitation in hand, I have to say the third degree that the bouncer put us through would have chased me away under normal circumstances.
Not that it killed my nervous excitement in the least.
The club building was pretty much a converted warehouse. The rafters were exposed and long chains dangled lights from their ends. The walls were concrete blocks, painted in an array of blues, grays and blacks. I knew there wasn’t any alcohol served, but I was surprised to still see a bar tucked off in the corner. The main area had a large stage, and it looked like the organizers had thrown up some makeshift curtains to hide the participants.
The majority of the patrons had on even less than Connie. You’d think it was the people in the crowd up for bid and not those on the stage. I would have fit in better if I’d hauled off my corset and put electrical tape over my nipples like that woman over there. Damn, that was going to hurt coming off. Maybe.
“You’re a bitch,” I hissed as she pulled me toward the front. “I look like an idiot.”
“You look fine, Liz. It’s not like you’re a member yet. Besides, some of the Doms like the understated image. More than a few, in fact.” I should have known then that she’d been planning something. She had that wild look in her eyes that she’d get when Stephen was about to come over to play. My normal cue to leave for a few hours.
“Not that it will matter.” I tugged up the top of my corset before rocking up on the tips of my boots to see over the naked shoulder of the man standing in front of me. “I can’t see me getting a Dom. Not a good one with what I can afford.” My luck I’d end up with a first-time Dom and the two of us would do nothing but stand around and stare at each other.
I only had limited money to spend on things that weren’t bills. The new job was, well, still new and I had student loans to pay back and a future house to save for. Shelling out a couple of hundred dollars for essentially amounted to a rent-a-date seemed pretty irresponsible. And desperate. I wasn’t desperate.
Well, maybe sort of.
Wiping my hands down the front of my jeans, I hoped I didn’t look as nervous as I felt. I didn’t think Doms would necessarily want someone who they thought would freak out at the first sign of a whip.
“I told you, I’ll chip in. You’ll win one of them tonight. Trust me.” There it was again, that glint that told me Connie was up to no good.
She was my best friend in the whole wide world, and the only person I knew who was a sexual submissive. It was one of the things that had caught my attention at college, how she would home in on particular men, sometimes the ones I wouldn’t expect, and take them home. It wasn’t until we became roommates during our second year that I realized exactly what she did with them once she got them home.
I’d bought earplugs early on. I quickly misplaced them.
I’d masturbated so many nights listening to Connie and her Doms. When she’d eventually settled down with Stephen, things changed with her. It was fascinating to watch Connie change from the wild girl looking for a hot time, to the devoted girlfriend who got off on having her man spank her ass.
What I could never be sure was if it was the spankings that were so appealing, or the idea of finally having someone I loved do something so intimate with me.
The crowd around us continued to buzz with excitement, growing in noise and size as we got closer to go live time. I tried hard not to stare at the press of bodies around me. Most were in varying degrees of nakedness and all seemed aroused. There were a few people who I assumed were Doms scattered throughout. It was surprisingly easy to pick them out and not because of the clothing they wore. They had an air to them that was unmistakable. A confidence, bordering on arrogance in some cases that rolled off them in waves.
Those were the ones I looked at, studied with my sidelong glances. The women looked powerful, like they could be running a large corporation, or be cops, anything that required power and control. My gaze didn’t linger as long on them. I was straight, well, for the most part. I wouldn’t kick a beautiful woman out of bed, but I didn’t think I was ready for something like that.
No, my eyes were on the guys.

On the warm sands of the Outer Banks, Summer will have to confront her own self-doubt and trust her husband enough to open her heart to a pleasure unlike anything she’s ever imagined.
Naunet’s Review:
As only the prolific Ann Mayburn comes a short tale Summer’s Need that resonated with me and I am sure other readers will agree. One of the joys of reading the works of Ms. Mayburn is you know there will be a powerful life lesson and some roaring hot, exciting carnal antics.
Ms. Mayburn cultivates a erotic romance in Summer’s Need with believable characters who are emotionally connected giving every reader a story of substance. She clearly polishes the facets of the personalities of her main characters: Summer and Dave and the narrative could ignite a 5 alarm sensual fire.
Summer portrayed as a workaholic and control freak is a beautiful, sexy, corporate executive, married to Dave a magnificent, handsome, intelligent husband. Summer has been focused on the success of her career and climbing the corporate financial world. As a result something has to be sacrificed or neglected. Summer is busy and neglects to realize that all she really has to be is Dave’s woman ahead of being a corporate executive.
Dave is a sexy, intelligent, ingenuous man who is comfortable in his skin and has a creative imagination on the quest to preserve his marriage and care for his wife’s intimate needs. Summer buried her carnal fantasies as she focused more and more on being the best of the best in her career as a financial adviser/ investor. Dave has the capacity to make Summer feel that she is loved and she’s his woman first before anything else.
Ember, a psychologist, may be the guide they need in an effort to salvage an anemic relationship if they can meet each other half way and relax, relieve, release.
Ms. Mayburn’s excellent aptitude to generate the hottest erotic scenes will have you running for ice water and whatever can provide you relief for the penned up sexual energy Ms. Mayburn and her characters shared in so lovingly. Summer’s Need titillates every sensory element.
I enjoyed Summer’s Need so much because Ms. Mayburn taught me that the need to control everything blocks pleasure therefore robbing you of precious moments with those we love.

Nerds Are Freaks Too by Koko Brown.
Publisher: Ellora’s Cave Publishing
Genre: Erotic Contemporary Romance
Length:

Summary:
Roxanne is stunned when her best friend, Leo, admits his feelings for her—she’s so not going there. Lovers may come and go, but true friends are hard to find. Instead, she enlists his help to sign her up for an online fetish dating site. She immediately meets a man who can help her explore her kinky side, starting with a chat session that leads to the best orgasm of her life. While her body’s satisfied, her mind can’t forget Leo’s confession…
Leo, meanwhile, isn’t giving up so easily. He knows Roxanne like the back of his hand, knows what she needs, and he’s more than equipped to give it to her. Subtle touches, a sexy spanking, the most erotic dessert-eating session ever… Leo is successfully proving that computer nerds can be sexual freaks too—until Roxanne discovers his secret. One that could kill not only a potential relationship, but their longtime friendship as well.
That 70s Chick’s Review:
Roxanne and Leo have been best friends for years. However, Leo’s feelings are more than friendly towards Roxanne and have been for the longest time, so he decides to let her know. Roxanne doesn’t wish to cross that line in her friendship with Leo, afraid that if things don’t work out, she’ll lose her best friend and lover forever. In an attempt to let off some steam after Roxanne’s rejection, Leo visits the local boxing club. Here, he is told by his boxing coach and mentor that if he wants to succeed with Roxanne; he’ll have to put the three Ts into practice by tempting, teasing, and tantalizing Roxanne until she can begin to see him as more than just a friend. With plan in place, Leo begins his pursuit of Roxanne.
Koko Brown writes THE sexiest heroes! I do declare she does! From their exotic ethnicities (Leo happens to be a gorgeous Greek), to their alpha ways (Leo may be defined as a nerd but their is nothing nerdy nor geekish about this hunk!) to the way they handle their heroines in between the sheets and out of them. I have yet to read about one that I haven’t completely lusted over! Leo is no exception! Before the story really evolved, I was already mooning over him. He really loved Roxanne and went through such lengths to prove it to her.
Roxanne was more “meh”, in my opinion. I mean, who wouldn’t want to fall in love with their best friend? Especially if he’s gorgeous, rich, loves you more than anything…oh yeah, and is your best friend?! At times it seems like she’s almost playing with Leo’s feelings and then gets up in arms when he takes drastic measures to win her. I’m not saying she was unlikeable, but it seemed to me as though she wasn’t entirely fair in her handling of the situation.
Nerds Are Freaks Too is an amazing read about an amazing man who is willing to go the distance and beyond to win the woman he loves…and isn’t that the love story most of us wish for? This is definitely worth checking out!

Highland Steam by Eliza Knight
Publisher: Ellora’s Cave Publishing
Genre: Historical, Fantasy, Erotic Romance, Time Travel
Length: 50 pages

Summary:
Tragedy strikes in the Highlands, making Drostan the laird of the Comyn clan and in need of a wife to placate his people. His only choice is to trust in magic and travel to the sacred circle of stones…where he must passionately lay claim to the woman Fate brings him.
Briana is lost and alone when magic lights up the night. She meets the man of her dreams, a man who rocks her to her very core with orgasm after orgasm and somehow manages to steal her heart. The problem? The man of her dreams lives eight hundred years in the past.
Ashley’s Review:
Against everyone’s advice, Briana went hiking in the highland mountains by herself. She didn’t think she’d have any problem with her GPS to guide her. Now it’s broken and she’s lost, near some ancient archway that seemed to be an entryway to something. As she inspected the archway and ran her hands over it, a spark made her quickly jerk her hand away. She knew she had to investigate further and was surprised with what she found. There was a sexy, muscled, naked man…and he was beckoning her closer.
Highland Steam is an erotic fantasy in a quick read that will either brighten up your afternoon or warm up your evening (or maybe both if you’re lucky!). If a woman has to get lost, this is the way to do it. As Briana finds herself lost, she thinks she’s dreaming and turns a steamy encounter into a once-in-a-lifetime forever kind of love. The attraction is instant, the sex explicit, and the dream world turns into an alternate reality that Briana is happy to live with.
Ms. Knight uses her creative writing style to make her highland romances sexy and fun. She always keeps me coming back for more! Highland Steam is an enjoyable way to put a spark in your day, rev up your imagination and get your heart pumping!

Skin Truth by Em Petrova
Publisher: Ellora’s Cave
Genre: Contemporary, Erotic Romance, Bondage, Sex Toys, Multiple Partners, BDSM
Length: 65 pages

Summary:
When Kat’s boyfriend takes her to an upscale restaurant, she’s certain he’s going to give her the two-carat princess cut she’s always dreamt of. Instead she finds herself being dumped. Thrown into a downward spiral, she ponders his claim that he’s looking for someone who needs him to take control so he can feel complete.
Driven by personal tragedy and determined that she can at least be adventurous between the sheets, Kat embarks on a sexual journey involving titillating phone sex and a growing obsession with the toy catalog. Soon she’s led into the darker world of bondage and whippings, only to be jumped by a group of men with a fascinating and fearless leader. Pushed to her limits, she struggles against the dark seduction. Until she discovers the leader’s secret.
Reader Advisory: Story contains a wee bit of forced sex—or is it?
AJ’s Review:
Skin Truth by Em Petrova is one short, sexy read that will put you in an adventurous mood and remove all of your inhibitions.
It was both sexy and daring to watch Kat embrace her sexuality and let go of her control. Ms. Petrova touches on some of the reasons that Kat felt the need to be in control and they were all valid, but the interesting twist incorporated into the plot was more intriguing, which involved Kat being completely oblivious to her sexuality. It was both refreshing and enlightening to watch her come alive and partake in the darker side of sex in an effort to discover what she truly needed in the bedroom. The only question remains is whether or not it’s too late to rekindle her flame with Daniel now that she’s wet her appetite for more adventurous sexacapades?
Daniel Chaser is intelligent, sexy, successful and every woman’s wet dream. But unfortunately, he needs to be able to take control and please his woman, which is difficult to do when you’re in a relationship with Kat, a self-assured, independent woman who is used to taking care of herself. So, what’s a guy to do when he reaches a crossroad – stay and work it out, or leave his woman heartbroken and confused? As time passes by, will Daniel realize that he’s made a mistake and go after Kat? Guess you’ll have to read the book to find out?
The secondary characters help the heroine learn to embrace her sexuality as the story progresses, but they don’t overshadow her. Ms. Petrova has crafted a fast-paced, sensual story that will send shivers down your spine as Kat decides to shed her “vanilla” bedroom tendencies and take a walk on the dark side. There is a scene that’s rather intense and full of angst, which works perfectly because the reader is able to witness Kat’s struggle between the desires burning deep in her soul as she learns an all important lesson, which involves understanding that there is a fine line between pleasure and pain when sex is involved. I truly enjoyed Skin Truth by Em Petrova, which is full of explosive passion and uninhibited desires that will definitely make your mouth water for more. So, be sure to check it out!

How To Love Your Dragon by Lexxie Couper
Series: Fire Mate, Book Two
Publisher: Ellora’s Cave Publishing
Genre: Paranormal, Erotic Romance
Length: 200 pages

Summary:
Fire Mate, Book Two
Yorick “Rick” Hayes takes only two things seriously—his work as a veterinarian and the seduction of lovely ladies. He’s unprepared for the lovely lady police officer who pulls him over for speeding, however. Inexplicable, overwhelming lust threatens to make him do something stupid—like try to seduce her on the side of the road. Throw in sudden flashes of past life memories and Rick is confused, monumentally horny and borderline obsessed with his sexy, no-nonsense cop.
For nearly half a century, Officer Kenna Mackay has denied her dragon side. Her twin sister was betrayed by her mate, and Kenna refuses to risk the same fate—until she makes eye contact with Rick. Her dragon awakens with a vengeance, the mating fire claiming both woman and beast. Hard. Hot. Unstoppable. And exquisitely arousing. The dragon wants her Fire Mate—now.
But history could repeat itself when that mate turns out to be a Druid; one who may have done something bad to dragon-kind in his past life. Something very, very bad indeed.
Lea’s Review:
How to Love Your Dragon is book two in the Fire Mate Series, and is an excellent, enjoyable book! Especially for those of us who appreciate a bit of mythology or a bit of fantasy as part of our reading mix, this story is just right.
Lexxie Couper offers two very interesting characters in Kenna and Rick. On the surface level, Kenna is a policewoman who has relocated from the US to Australia following a tragedy, and Rick is a veterinarian and ladies man. But Kenna is also a dragon, even though she has been igno ring that part of who she is for a long time, and for good reason. Rick, on the other hand, has not a clue about anything out of the ordinary other than he has some rather unique and special gifts that have served him well professionally. When Rick and Kenna get together, Rick’s memories begin to return and the situation becomes even more complicated than they already are with a female dragon desperately, sexually in need of her mate.
It may seems that I am giving you just the bare bones to go on here, but How to Love Your Dragon is such a neat story that I would not want to ruin one bit of the excitement and drama for you. I will share that the past influences the present in many ways, some positive and some not, and that all of Rick’s gifts make complete sense at the end of the story.
The story line is great, the sex scenes are smoking hot, and while the humor is off the charts from time to time, there is also poignancy in places that will grab your heart and give a little twist. I definitely found How to Love Your Dragon to be one I will return to when I need a smile and an infusion of positive energy. Those who enjoy stories of wonder with an HEA ending are sure to find Lexxie Couper’s, How to Love Your Dragon an enjoyable read.

Hostile Takeover by Joey W Hill
Publisher: Ellora’s Cave
Genre: BDSM, Contemporary, Erotic Romance
Length: 263 pages

Summary:
Part of the Knights of the Board Room series.
Ben is the last unattached member of the five-man executive team of K&A Associates. The other four, all Masters, have found the submissives of their dreams. That’s fine. The sharp-edged lawyer knows he’s the most hardcore of them all, with extreme tastes as a Master he satisfies physically through experienced club submissives. He doesn’t really need anything more.
Marcie has loved Ben since she was sixteen. He’s never behaved as anything more than a protective big brother, a family friend. But now she’s twenty-three and starting her career as a corporate investigator. She may be a blood-and-bone-deep submissive, but she won’t hesitate to use her aggressive talents to prove she’s meant to be his. With a Master as tough as Ben, she’ll have to take whatever measures are needed—even if her deepest desire isn’t a hostile takeover of his heart, but an unconditional surrender to it.
Reader Advisory: Marcie’s sexual journey contains a group scene of female/female sexual exploration. The Masters also share her in a brief group scene. Both these beautifully erotic moments are essential to deepening Marcie’s bond with Ben.
Lea’s Review:
Read this book!
I’ve never before started a review in such a direct manner, but Hostile Takeover is not a book you want to risk missing. At three-thirty this morning, I read the last sentence of the last page, took a deep breath, and immediately moved the book from the My Library folder on my laptop, where I store literally hundreds of e-books, to my All Time Favorites folder that has fewer than twenty. Hostile Takeover is a book I know that I will reread again and again, and has joined the ranks of my very favorite BDSM books.
Joey W Hill has written a book, not a novella or short novel, but an extremely well planned and developed, 263 page book. Plot, setting, characters, language, flow, continuity and the myriad of this and that’s that need to meld to make words on a page come alive in your mind and heart, are on-point in this heart wrenching love story. It is the love story of a man and a woman, a Master and slave. And it is much, much more: the love of family, linked not by blood but by choice, husbands and wives, women lovingly supporting one another through times of wonderful happiness and great sadness, and men offering tough-love to one of their own.
The men who are the Knights of the Boardroom are all Masters and all have found their perfect submissive except Ben. Unresolved issues from his past have kept Ben from making an attempt to connect on an emotional level with any woman. He has the darkest BDSM tendencies of the group, and chooses to go to clubs, use experienced subs and walk away.
Marcie is a young sister-in-law to one of the knights. She had what everyone thought to be a juvenile crush on Ben, when, in fact, she had determined as a teenager that she was a deep submissive and that Ben would someday be her Master. When she returns from college and internships, Marcie is an amazingly beautiful, capable, intelligent and sexy woman who has her sights set on Ben. His response is to put distance between them and drive her away. When an event takes place in which Ben loses control and breaks the code the knights live by, the ripples touch every life within the group.
What makes Hostile Takeover so good? I think it may have to do with the careful attention to detail and continuity with all the characters of the series as well as the skillful overlapping of the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of those characters. The BDSM scenes are on target and as erotic as any I have read, and the non-BDSM sexual encounters were beautiful enough to bring tears to my eyes. And to be honest, there were several other situations that also made me cry.
Just as with other books in the Knights of the Boardroom series, the BDSM that takes place in this story is not gratuitous, it moves the plot, it helps the reader understand the characters, and the aftercare from a BDSM scene gives the characters the opportunity to connect in a most powerful manner.
I can only finish as I started, letting you know that I believe Hostile Takeover to be an outstanding book of an outstanding series. If you love romance, if you are part of the BDSM lifestyle or dream you could live in the world of BDSM, or if you just yearn for a really good book, buy a copy of Joey W Hill’s latest book, Hostile Takeover.

Fabric of Fate by N.J Walters
Publisher: Ellora’s Cave Publishing
Genre: Erotic, Paranormal Romance
Length: 124 pages

Summary:
Sixth in the Tapestries series.
Audrey Brennan is married to her job as an ad executive. Her work environment is fast-paced, competitive and cutthroat. When a panic attack brought on by stress and overwork lands her in the hospital, she’s forced to examine her life choices. Before she can make any decisions, a beautiful tapestry filled with magic whisks her away to a strange world, where men compete sexually to win a woman.
In Javara, women are in short supply and brothers must share. Abrah Dannon has given up hope that either he or his brother Heroc will ever have a wife. But a wild storm brings an unexpected gift to his doorstep—a woman.
For the next three days, both brothers will use all the sensual skill at their disposal to seduce and pleasure Audrey so she will want to stay in Javara with them. But there’s more at stake than simply hot sex. Their hearts are hers for the taking if she’s willing to risk the chance.
Lace’s Review :
Fabric of Fate by N.J Walters is another addition to her Tapestry series. I think as this series grows because her unusual plots have the ability to draw her fans in. Who wouldn’t like a small taste of magic?
Audrey Brennan’s life is nothing but work. She is stressed out and under appreciated. I feel Audrey’s upheaval in her life, and my heart went out to her, but for some small reason I did not bond with this heroine as I did with the others. However, Abrah Dannon and Heroc Dannon’s sexiness were great distractions for me. In addition, you feel the faith, love and endless passion these three create.
What draws me to this series is Ms. Walters knack for creating an unusual plot with each installment, even though each book could be read as a stand alone. Fabric of Fate is a well-written story with engaging characters. The love is obvious to the point that it wraps around you like a warm cocoon. What I want to know is at the end of this series, will we get an updated on each family that was brought together by the tapestry? The need to know if the characters will relate to one another has me waiting on the edge of my seat for the next book to be released.

Prime Defender by Ann Jacobs
Series: Necessary Roughness
Publisher: Ellora’s Cave Publishing
Genre: Contemporary, Erotic Romance, Interracial Romance, BDSM, Multiple Partners, Menage, Public Sex
Length: Novella

Summary:
Book 4 in the Necessary Roughness series.
Big, tough, sexy linebacker Matt Rubin is a killer on the field—but a willing slave in the dungeon to his voluptuous, beautiful Domme.
Keisha loves her buff, gorgeous sex slave. It is the ultimate erotic gratification—having such a strong, intimidating man completely at her sexual command.
Then a health crisis forces them to make a temporary switch. The sex slave becomes the Master. Keisha is totally out of her element and they both wonder how they can ever really go back to that perfect love.
Reader Advisory: This book contains sexy, kinky, public sex scenes involving multiple partners and ménage.
Trixie’s Review:
Who would expect a stud athlete to enjoy being dominated sexually? That is exactly what tough linebacker Matt Rubin enjoys. He is proud of who he is and shares his lifestyle with his teammates openly.
Ms. Jacobs creates a believable macho man who puts his love and devotion to his woman first and doesn’t give a flip what others think of his sexuality. Keisha, his wife and mistress, was equally developed and the reader had a vivid sense of what changing their lifestyle meant to her.
Prime Defender grabs the reader’s attention from the very beginning when the characters are proclaiming their love. Strong emotions swarm the pages as Ms. Jacobs delves into the lifestyle of a Dominatrix and her slave and then switches the emotions as their roles need to be reversed.
Realistic dialogue along with the feeling you are truly inside each character’s heads makes Prime Defender by Ann Jacobs a truly enjoyable read. I will be looking for more from this talented author.

Tied & Twisted by Emily Ryan-Davis
Publisher: Ellora’s Cave Publishing
Genre: Contemporary, Erotic Romance
Length: Novella

Summary:
Alarm specialist David has neither room nor desire for complications with his sex. But complication is exactly what he gets when he discovers his newest submissive plaything and his newest client are the same person. And they’re both being threatened by an enemy he can’t identify.
Complications aren’t exactly among Jovanna’s favorite things either. She’s looking for escape, not love, during her visits to a local BDSM club. She didn’t anticipate David Burke would be the man behind the best flogging of her life…or that her past would rear its ugly head and threaten to end her life just as she begins to enjoy it again.
Trixie’s Review:
Yowza, yowza were my first words after reading this erotic novella. What were the chances that the man who gave her the powerful flogging and ultimate pleasure would turn out to be the very man she hired to protect her new store? David Burke is a wonderful character full of delicious charm and attitude. Jovanna is a wickedly daring woman who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go for it.
Mixing these two together sets off an explosion within their souls. Ms. Davis has created characters that are volatile in their passion as well as in their interactions. Realistic dialogue and a well developed plot makes Tied & Twisted a must read. Suspenseful until the very end, Tied & Twisted was definitely one delightful read and I will be looking for more by this talented author.
