Summary:
Lucia Roa needs a miracle to keep her fledgling event planning business from going under. When she gets word about the opportunity of a lifetime to do a Valentine’s Day party for an elite club in Washington D.C. she jumps at the chance. It’s not until afterward, that she learns the party isn’t for just any club, it’s for the premier private BDSM club, Wicked. Desperate to make the social and professional connections that this job would offer, she agrees to a most unconventional and risqué business arrangement with the handsomest man she’s ever met.
CEO Isaac O’Keefe swore off relationships years ago after having his heart broken and his bank account emptied by his gold-digging first wife. He thought he’d managed to keep his heart under lock and key, but when Lucia walks into his office he is instantly drawn to the fiery beauty. He convinces Lucia to take the position as event planner for Wicked’s Valentine’s Day party, but in order to make the event a success, he must give her a crash course at all the dark pleasures BDSM has to offer.
Compatible goals quickly explode into something much steamier, but will Isaac be able to open his heart to his Wicked Valentine?
Naunet’s Review:
Once again another extremely erotic romance from the magnificent author Ann Mayburn. My Wicked Valentine is a hot, sensitive heartwarming story just in time for Valentine’s Day or anytime you want a story that makes you feel a special kind of way to the point that it burns deeply inside the dark corner of your sensory neurons . In My Wicked Valentine Ms. Mayburn draws into the narrative like a moth to a flame and that flame captivates Lucia Roa and the reader. If you want a thrill seeking ride of lust and innocence to the wild world of BDSM, then My Wicked Valentine is definitely the book to read.
Ms. Mayburn releases inhibitions of those who have not experienced the various phases of the pleasure of BDSM. Ann Mayburn creates a wicked valentine story to be savored by romantics. The terrific manner in which Ms. Mayburn depicts the tender, sensuous, pulsations to every part of the human anatomy is mesmerizing.
In My Wicked Valentine Lucia Roa and Isaac O’Keefe are the awesome main characters who will definitely rock the vibrations of erotic, melodious rhythm that makes the reader breathlessly awaiting the blessings of passionate unity between Lucia and Isaac. Isaac takes the audience to places and levels that he controls and drives you crazy with passion and plenty of heavy breathing. All I had to do was let my imagination accompany with Ms. Mayburn’s finely honed descriptions of the the world of BDSM and an adventurous, strong, enterprising woman such as Lucia Roa.
Lucia and Isaac come from different social worlds that blends wonderfully together to ignite the sheets of one of Washington D.C.’s private, exclusive, BDSM clubs. Here sexually uninhibited power brokers luxuriate in the club known as Wicked. Wicked is a place where wild abandon takes over and the games begin and end in a den of lust and power that’s frequented by Washington’s and some of the world’s elite personalities.
Lucia Roa is a goddess like, sexy, entrepreneur who desires to build her event planning business into the most sought after in the D.C. sophisticates high and mighty. She is young, energetic and desires to do more with her life and her company.
Isaac O’Keefe is a highly respected man in New York and Washington, DC who is working on reaching another rung on his ladder by becoming a board member of the the infamous club Wicked. Isaac is the embodiment of sexiness, brains and brawn who is not only a knight in shiny armor; but also a sensitive skilled Dom. He is powerful, handsome, intelligent, gracious and CEO of a powerful business.
Ms. Mayburn blends the aromatics of erotic romance entwined with suspense that engulfs the reader into flames, which encompasses a lackluster libido into an earth rattling rumble with high explosive BDSM and passionate loving making. The layers of adjectives and play of words creates an avalanche of sexy energy into the mind of readers that shakes the soul and private parts.
The secondary characters in My Wicked Valentine: Sara Florentine, Chloe, Mary Wellington, and Roa’s family give this tale twists of wickedness, thought provoking carnality, and an enjoyable narrative that carries that necessary punch to keep the eyes of the reader speeding across the pages between the front and back covers.
As usual Ms. Mayburn creates characters, an environment, rising elements and resolutions that I could relate to, not to mention envy. Ingrained in My Wicked Valentine is a close knit family full of security, love and protectiveness. The family love and fervor of compassion between Isaac and Lucia grips the audience with excitement on all levels be it carnal or euphoria.
Isaac O’Keefe is the kind of man I would value and cherish with his understanding of just how to set ablaze the intimacies and lust running through Lucia. My Wicked Valentine plasters a smile on my face while I entertain many secret lascivious thoughts.
I believe My Wicked Valentine penned by Ann Mayburn’s processes a well rounded energy of joy, protectiveness of family, hot, yet gentle introductions to the BDSM world for Lucia; and might encourage the reader to explore his/her on a personal level of wickedness. Isaac’s gentleness while being the skillful Dom snaked through my heart and I fell head over heels for the emotions beating through the hot blooded story. My Wicked Valentine will definitely re-energize a lazy libido.

Adore by Ann Mayburn
Series: Sam and Cody book 3
Publisher: Decadent Publishing
Genre: GLBT, Erotic Contemporary, M/M
Length: 64 pages

Summary:
Sam and Cody have settled into married life, living in their dream home, and are more in love than ever. There is just one thing missing from their lives to make their home complete: A baby to share their love with. Adoption is difficult enough, but the struggles and hardship of trying to adopt as a gay couple may be too much for the men to handle. When a series of setbacks leaves both men with broken hearts and wounded souls, it will take a Christmas miracle to give Sam and Cody the strength to give adoption one more try.
Barb Manning’s Review:
Adore by Ann Mayburn is the third book in a contemporary romance that continues the story of Cody MacPherson and Sam Dunham, two young men married and fiercely in love with each other. Cody and Sam run an exotic stone business that has left them fairly well off. Their life together seems perfect from the outside, but one thing’s missing to make it perfect — a child of their own to make them a family.
Cody and Sam have an established relationship, so much of Adore focuses on their efforts to adopt an infant. Ms. Mayburn handles the story with a sensitive touch; constructing a tale that pulls all of the heart strings while detailing their rocky road to possible parenthood.
Ann Mayburn’s writing style is clean and crisp and some interesting characters populate Adore, including the young mother-to-be, Nancy and her challenging mother, Mrs Yost, as well as Cody and Sam’s attorney, Arthur. Adore leaves you with a warm feeling about love, commitment and family. It’s a fine conclusion to a romantic trilogy about two men trying to make a family.
Adore is a sweet, nice and easy read to curl up with on a long winter night. Cody and Sam are an engaging couple determined to become a great family.

On the warm sands of the Outer Banks, Summer will have to confront her own self-doubt and trust her husband enough to open her heart to a pleasure unlike anything she’s ever imagined.
Naunet’s Review:
As only the prolific Ann Mayburn comes a short tale Summer’s Need that resonated with me and I am sure other readers will agree. One of the joys of reading the works of Ms. Mayburn is you know there will be a powerful life lesson and some roaring hot, exciting carnal antics.
Ms. Mayburn cultivates a erotic romance in Summer’s Need with believable characters who are emotionally connected giving every reader a story of substance. She clearly polishes the facets of the personalities of her main characters: Summer and Dave and the narrative could ignite a 5 alarm sensual fire.
Summer portrayed as a workaholic and control freak is a beautiful, sexy, corporate executive, married to Dave a magnificent, handsome, intelligent husband. Summer has been focused on the success of her career and climbing the corporate financial world. As a result something has to be sacrificed or neglected. Summer is busy and neglects to realize that all she really has to be is Dave’s woman ahead of being a corporate executive.
Dave is a sexy, intelligent, ingenuous man who is comfortable in his skin and has a creative imagination on the quest to preserve his marriage and care for his wife’s intimate needs. Summer buried her carnal fantasies as she focused more and more on being the best of the best in her career as a financial adviser/ investor. Dave has the capacity to make Summer feel that she is loved and she’s his woman first before anything else.
Ember, a psychologist, may be the guide they need in an effort to salvage an anemic relationship if they can meet each other half way and relax, relieve, release.
Ms. Mayburn’s excellent aptitude to generate the hottest erotic scenes will have you running for ice water and whatever can provide you relief for the penned up sexual energy Ms. Mayburn and her characters shared in so lovingly. Summer’s Need titillates every sensory element.
I enjoyed Summer’s Need so much because Ms. Mayburn taught me that the need to control everything blocks pleasure therefore robbing you of precious moments with those we love.

Captive Fantasy by Ann Mayburn
Series: Tales from the IWSS
Publisher: Honey Mountain Publishing
Genre: Contemporary, Erotic Romance, BDSM, M/F
Length: 40 pages

Summary:
Mary has always had a fantasy about a dangerous escaped prisoner kidnapping her and forcing her to sate his brutal, pent up desires. When she receives an invitation from the IWSS to live that fantasy out in one of their research facilities she jumps at the chance. Now she just has to convince her gentle giant of a husband to take control and make her his willing love slave.
Warning: This story contains a loving couple indulging in some very steamy fantasies including forced seduction, role playing, and a whole lotta capture fantasy.
Naunet’s Review:
“Ohh! sorry, I was distracted by, huh yes, I can do that for you. Have a great day.”
Did that ring a bell? It did for me getting lost in wonderful images running through the mind when you take a moment to be still. Imaginations; use of visualizations; of anything extravagant and unrestrained fall under the heading of a fantasy. What’s yours?
In Captive Fantasy by Ann Mayburn the lead character, Mary, wants to be aggressively handled by a stranger. Mary dreams of she and her husband acting outside of their erotic comfort zone and use a role play activity to rekindle flames of excitement into their intimate relationship.
Ms. Mayburn’s characters in Captive Fantasy are Mary and Sean, husband and wife, who live a middle class lifestyle. Mary and Sean have been together since college. Mary’s quest takes a bit of convincing because Sean is rather conservative but has always satisfied his wife in their loving making. Mary has been curious about the impact of incorporating role playing in the bedroom. Her research implies that fantasies assist many women in releasing their inhibitions to achieve a higher degree of satisfaction. The Women’s Sexual Satisfaction researchers are conducting experiments and recording data of how the female brain reacts to various stimuli manufacturing a pleasure principle when acting out extravagant desires fulfilling their fantasies. By quenching a woman’s sensual thirst in a safe non-judgmental environment is what most ladies require to be totally sated. Mary seriously wants to be involved in this research project.
Mary and Sean work out their concerns and the experiment is on and poppin’. During the scientific experiment Sean must have Mary perform sensuous acts that take her to a higher level of arousal. Sean relaxes into the role play and loosens up and channel their energies into an explosive reward. Sean ad-libs a bit and these extensions to Mary’s plan result in both of them the achieving a level of arousal that exceeded their expectations.
Ms. Mayburn does a stunning job of creating the drama, dialogue, passion and fire between this loving married couple. The language in the dialogue is realistic with the sexy innuendos and lacks the over use of vulgarities. The setting is realistic and places the couple in a safe, extremely secluded location where Sean and Mary are free to explore and engage in latent expressions of sensuality by using Mary’s scenario.
Ms. Mayburn’s Captive Fantasy is a short story; however, it is definitely not short on hot, titillating, graphic scenes with a light touch of BDSM. Ms. Mayburn teases the brain’s neurons in the reader which quickly produces moist and sexy sensations. Captive Fantasy will ignite your fantasies and have them ablaze. As usual Ms. Mayburn breaks it down and brings sparks to the pages encouraging her readers to free themselves, remove complications, take the steps and say yes to opening up your mind to play games that add flavor into shared intimacies. I hope readers get as much out of reading and enjoying Captive Fantasy as I did because it’s a fun read.

Sensation Play by Ann Mayburn
Series: 1Night Stand series
Publisher: Decadent Publishing
Genre: BDSM, Contemporary, Erotic Romance
Length: 44 pages

Summary:
Retired German cage fighter, Jonas Becker, has finally settled down in Las Vegas to open his own training center. A chance meeting with his dream woman at a charity ball leads him to hanging out at her favorite coffee shop where he overhears the perfect opportunity to win her over. One orgasm at a time.
Erica Alman is sick of her overprotective older brother’s ruining her love life, especially after they chased away that amazing mystery man that she had danced with a the charity ball six months ago. With the help of her best friend, she signs up with the 1 Night Stand dating service. Her request is simple. She wants a dangerous, rough man to fake break into her hotel room at the Castillo resort and force her to have multiple orgasms. Oh, and she wants the man to be big, bald, and have a German accent, just like Jonas.
Using every ounce of his skill as an experienced Dom, Jonas hopes to win Erica over before the night ends. He can only hope that the pleasure he can bring her would make the beautiful woman look past his scarred and battered exterior to the man within who can give her sensations like no other.
Naunet’s Review:
“Baby girl when outside be careful baby girl and don’t get dirty or play too rough act like a little lady.”
Erica Alman is a beautiful, voluptuous, sexy woman living near Las Vegas and if she were to describe her lifestyle she may say that it is vanilla. Erica is the only girl in the family and her brothers are of course very protective, which is comforting. However, once a little girl grows into a responsible adult, it’s time for the brothers and dads to take a tiny step back and allow her to operate with independence.
Erica Alman’s family travels the circle of society who donate large sums of money to needy organizations and attend charity balls to help fund an array of projects.
Erica is attending yet another charity ball. She looks stunning and all of her well-developed curves that are exquisitely displayed has caught the eye of a gentlemen from afar. Unaware of the admiration this gentleman possesses, she moves about the room with style and grace.
Mr. Jonas Becker is from Germany and has a crush on Erica. After some time he drums up the courage to ask her to dance. Jonas is a tall, huge man with muscles all over. He is a former cage fighter.
Jonas has sex appeal that Erica is intrigued by. As they dance the electrical magnetism is detected by one of Erica’s brother who decides that Jonas is not getting acquainted with his sister. Her brother made an assumption about Jonas based on his rough, gladiatorial physique and appearance.
Jonas is a gentle, thoughtful person who goes out of his way to help others. He is shy when it comes to approaching a woman. Jonas does the proper thing and releases Erica into the care of her bossy brother.
Erica emanates femininity in that she’s full figured lady with a deep sexy voice that is music to the former cage fighter’s ears. Jonas detects Erica’s oppressed sex appeal and he believes she is his soulmate and must have her in his life. She stirs an excitement and raw sensuality that captivates him like no one else has ever done. Jonas makes it his number one priority to meet and get to know Erica.
Jonas observes Erica at various times and manages to discover some of her habits and places she frequents. Jonas hangs out at the cafe Erica and her girlfriend Lara meet for lunch. During lunch Erica expresses her continued frustration about her boyfriends sexual techniques. There is no excitement between the sheets for her and her needs are not being met. What she desires she can’t get from the vanilla sex.
Lara reminds Erica of the company 1 Night Stand that she used and found exactly what she was looking for in the man who is sharing her bed. Lara passes Erica the company’s business card and encourages her to contact them. 1 Night Stand managed by Madam Eve is an exclusive operation where Madam Eve matches up dates after a rigid background check and personality match and other compatible characteristics making for an explosive night of sensual bliss.
Erica would like to meet the man of her steamy, erotic dreams and fantasies, who just happens to be the gentleman with the German accent and tough, sex appeal with a magnetic pull on her. She wants his massive muscular body next to hers whispering naughty things in her ears with that German accent giving her the thrills she needs to experience total fulfillment. Who says wishes can’t be fulfilled?
Ann Mayburn has the perfect writing technique making the reader obey her commands to reach deeper into one’s self and set some of those sizzling fantasies free. She constantly titillates the fine fibers of every sensory nerves-endings bringing the reader to a state of gratification. I appreciate Ms. Mayburn’s character developments because they are not from the character cookie cutter. This makes her books a delightful experience for me and I am sure also for many others.
Ms. Mayburn has the keys unlocking those oppressed wants which I find quite exhilarating. She awakens desires that lay in the deep recesses of the brain; inviting them to pop out while exploring her stories. I admire how she has her characters release the burden of self-doubt and inhibitions. Ms. Mayburn is one of a few erotic writers who can truly reach every level of the readers emotions and sensations.Through her believable characters, real life situations and dealing with the societal ills, she makes you want to stand up and cheer at the ending. In Sensation Play, Ms. Mayburn’s women stop sacrificing their personal sexual gratification without shame and self-consciousness. Yay, Ms. Mayburn! Thanks for keeping it real!

Summary:
Prince Devnar of Jensia is goaded into raiding the wrong space ship, springing a trap that captures him for use as a Royal pleasure slave, a Concubine, on Kyrimia. He vows to do everything he can to escape and keep from forming a psychic bond with his captors that would render him absolutely and totally in love. This proves difficult to do when the female Breaker assigned to turn him into a Concubine, Melania, is the epitome of his perfect woman.
Melania has been raised and trained to help reluctant and abused Novices to break through their personal blocks and attain the ultimate prize of becoming a Concubine. When she is given Devnar to train, she finds herself in danger of doing the forbidden and falling in love with her Novice. This angry, scarred, and utterly seductive male tests her self-control like no other.
Melania and Devnar find themselves at the heart of a galaxy wide political battle that will test a love that they must not acknowledge, and cannot live without, to its very limits.
Publisher’s Note: This book contains explicit sexual situations, graphic language, and material that some readers may find objectionable: BDSM theme and elements, menage (m/f/m with some male contact).
Mrs. C.’s Review:
Ann Mayburn is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors and The Breaker’s Concubine is part of the reason why. I honestly don’t know if Ms. Mayburn has a genre. She apparently can write almost anything and do it well.
Now, that said, The Breaker’s Concubine is not an easy read. There are some very uncomfortable occasions in the book that detail cruelty and pain beyond a point that I can honestly say that I enjoyed reading. I had to ask myself if I was unhappy with the book at those moments because of poor writing, plot holes, characters behaving OOC, or was I upset because of the subject matter. The answer came as I continued reading and the characters mirrored my own emotions and answered for me, bringing me back into the story quite effectively.
This book has a very intriguing BDSM twist that I have not seen before. I will try to describe it without providing any spoilers. Melania is a breaker on her planet. This is a person who “breaks” a person’s will and forces him to become the ultimate submissive, a concubine. And this is the twist that builds this book – a dominant orders a submissive to be a dominant to force a dominant to be a submissive. And that’s not the end of it as it twists and turns again and again. Um, wow.
Using the genre of sci-fi is important because the characters have physical attributes that Earth humans do not that are necessary to make the story work. For example, Devnar gives off pheromones when aroused during sex that cause an actual addiction to him. This is a key plot point, and I will say no more so as not to give away too much.
We leave Devnar, Melania and their menage third Khilam planning how to rescue women who have been kidnapped by an evil power mad woman and sold into sexual slavery, so there is much more to come in this story, long term. Oh, and a happy little codicil to the HFN is added right at the very end of the book, but I won’t tell you what it is. I’m still smiling, though, as I think of what this means to Melania and how it might lead to an HEA for everyone.

Bound for Pleasure by Ann Mayburn
Publisher: Decadent Publishing
Genre: Contemporary, Interracial, Erotic Romance, BDSM
Length: 34

Summary:
Football star Tycen Preston has everything he could ever want, everything except the healing release of subspace that he desperately craves. After four years of searching for the right woman, he finally has the opportunity to indulge in all the dark, forbidden desires that would ruin his carefully crafted image if anyone every found out.
Lara Hernandez is tired of the weak submissive men that offer her no challenge. She yearns for a strong Alpha male to tame and call her own. A blind date arranged by the mysterious Madam Eve seems to be the perfect arrangement for fulfilling both of their decadent cravings. Unfortunately a scheming paparazzi photographer is hot on their trail, and will do anything he can to get a scandalous picture of Tycen that would destroy his career.
Lace’s Review :
Bound for Pleasure was a sweet, soft, short BDSM. I think Mistress Lara and Tysen have more to tell us. Ann Mayburn is there going to be more on these characters? I am hoping there will be.
Tysen is a big football star that has the need to be controlled in the bedroom. Can Mistress Lara give him his one night of subspace, or will she capture his heart forever?
Mistress Lara, is looking for the perfect man to submit; however, she has her doubts that Tysen could be the one. Between the both them, can they give and receive what they both need to find a binding relationship?
Tysen is totally afraid of the world finding out his secret. Being in the lime light there is always someone wanting to catch him. Can he make he obtain his need for subspace with the Mistress of his dreams without it costing him everything? Guess you’ll have to read the book to find out.
For me, Bound for Pleasure went from 0 to 60 fast, but I enjoyed it! What a delicious read. The story was well written as the words flowed over the page. The characters were endearing to the point that you couldn’t help but root for them. And as usual, the bad guy was someone that you just wanted to tell to get a life.
Ann Mayburn what’s Jackson’s story? Will we be learning more about him in a different 1 Night Stand book?

Emerald Moon by Ann Mayburn
(1Night Stand series)
Publisher: Decadent Publishing
Genre: M/M, GLBT, Paranormal, Erotic, Contemporary, Romance
Length: 28 pages

Summary:
Ben Harkil had long ago given up on love, refusing to believe he was worthy of it. When he is given the gift of a 1Night Stand blind date, he goes into it expecting nothing more than a night of savage pleasure. Instead he finds the missing piece of his heart.
Jude Carson has an impossible task in front of him. He has to convince the man he hasn’t seen in fifteen years that he still loves him with all of his heart and wants him back. A task made even more difficult by the horrible circumstances that led to their parting and tore their former pride apart.
Ben will have to learn that sometimes the hardest person to forgive is himself if he wants a second chance at the greatest joy he has ever known.
Naunet’s Review:
Emerald Moon by Ann Mayburn was an extremely short story about love, deceit and forgiveness. Ann Mayburn characters are strong men who are gentle, loving and patient with each other. They reside in the beautiful region surrounded by wilderness, the fresh scent of pine trees and crisp cool air.
The were-pumas, Ben and Jude were once members of the same pack thanks to their connection to Axel. Axel was the Alpha of the Pride pack and Jude’s older brother. Jude worshiped his older brother as most younger brothers do. Axel asked Ben to be his beta; which lead to Ben and Jude falling in love.
After 15 years, the two lovers are reunited through a blind date instrumented by the owner of the bar and his wife. Ben of course, still loves Jude and upon seeing him this emotion is quite evident.
Although Emerald Moon is a quick read it packs a punch on the emotional levels. One of the most important issues for me was the underlining message of forgiveness. Ms. Mayburn’s story encourages the reader to reflex on the importance of self-forgiveness.
Ms. Mayburn’s details used in the descriptions of the setting and all of the characters was very realistic. After reading Emerald Moon I hungered for the clean, refreshing, crisp air in her setting. Emerald Moon is a well written paranormal romantic story with believable situations and dialogue. I adore strong male characters with the capacity to be tender and loving without being push overs. I appreciated Ms. Mayburn’s character development regarding the compassion of the bar owner and his wife which is the driving force that reunited the lovers.
Emerald Moon is the perfect length to occupy your mind while waiting for an appointment. The sexual energy was perfectly described in just 25 pages.
